No, he's on about the Dick Bailey Wexford Stages Rally that was held on Saturday and Sunday 10/11 September won by Stephen Murphy in Noel Redmond's Subaru Impreza WRC.

Dick Bailey was my first motorsport hero - went to school with his son and he used to talk about how Dick was building this car or that car, etc. Used to see him in the Wexford rally as a kid, to actually know one of the drivers (or his son at least) was a big thing for a kid. Last time I saw him was in Mondello, maybe a year before he died.

I'd count his death as probably the most influential event in my almost full lifetime of following motorsport. Really brought home that it could happen close to home as well as on TV. Its fitting really that the Wexford Rally should bear his name, a tribute to the contribution he made to motorsport in the south east.
