How to test my IBB line

I signed up for a 2mb line with IBB but while on the phone with one of the tech's something he said let me to believe that they may have connected me at a different connection speed.

How can I test my line and find out independently if I have a 1, 2 or 4mb line??

the only line line is LOS line of sight !! distance and sight of mast !!

ok, fine, be pedantic. My point is that I have a Broadband "connection" and I wanna test that "connection" to see if it is a 1, 2 or 4 Mb "connection"

Read about the test on the site it gives you a good idea.
Ibb out in D15 if still b0llixed, was down for 24 hours and only came back this
afternoon at really rotten connection. 20k dl and 11k up not the 1meg dl/up
it is ment to be.

To really test the IBB connection download a file from there FTP site.
ftp://ftp.irishbroaband.ie
don't forget to multiple the Kb by 8 to get KBits
128kb/s = 1Mbit
