    Eircom Cayman 3341 Moden
    Linksys Wireless G 2.4ghz
    http://www1.linksys.com/international/product.asp?coid=18&ipid=452
    The linksys is router with
1 Wan port 4 port switch + wireless antenna

    tried as follows...

    Modem -> Pc = ok
Modem -> Router Lan port -> Pc =Using the router as a switch I can get to the net
Modem -> Router Wan port -> Pc =Can connect to router but not to net

It seems I'm missing configuration on the router.
The connection is the Eircom 2MB connection
When configuring a router with eircom do they use
    PPPoE?
Tried entering the eircom username and pass with pppoe selected
but no luck, also tried the default DHCP.

    any ideas?
    thanks

    Hi,

I had the same issues as you did there a couple of weeks ago. I eventually sorted it.
If I remember correctly, I first got the Modem configured just to the PC, so I knew that it was working.
I then followed this link step by step.
I may have had to set the modem to "bridge" mode but only after following that step by step.

Try it and let us know where you get stuck.
