Eircom BB - need dsl line?

I am just after signing up to BB in maynooth. I received the kit and all but cannot get connected because the line is not dsl activated. I was told it would be today, now I am being told that it is next Thursday. I have to check now if I am being charged rental. Did anyone else ever hear of this problem? How long did it…

you'll need to play the waiting game and keep hassling them.

also make sured you get a mail off them saying you will be charged from the day you get connected, not the day they signed you up.
