the european launch games just need 1.52 i think

Some company are releasing new psp cases in late september ( read it on some psp site) and teamxecuter are supposedly making some as well. So hopefully there wont be smudges on the case every time u use it. Its not going to say PSP on the case as its a registered trademark. A crystal one like the xbox would be cool.

    edit: found it on www.psphome.com

» PSP Accessories : Custom PSP faceplates - Project Asterix

e-linksoft, aka Xtreme Enterprise, have announced their new line of exclusive Sony PSP replacement faceplates. They are designed to replace the standard black (or white if you're in Japan after September 15th) PSP casing with a new colour. This is handy for those who's PSP is badly scratched or damaged.

The hype around the white PSP in Japan has been pretty big, but if Project Asterix lives up to expectations, then the white PSP would, literally, pale in comparison.

"For those who have been awaiting third party companies to launch a replacement faceplate for the PSP, wait no more. Xtreme Enterprise will be launching its latest series of PSP faceplates codenamed ASTERIX come early September. This new product launch ties in with the expected European launch of the PSP in September 2005.

As PSP users have already discovered, the present PSP only comes in black and white (with white available only in Japan). The ASTERIX faceplates will come in a greater choice of colors and at the same time, be available at a fraction of the cost (of the originals). Perfect for those who have faceplates badly scratched by accident or by their pet dogs." (sounds like this guy has been burned by a canine PSP mutilation himself)

    Custom PSP Faceplate

The faceplates will initially be available in these 5 colours when the prototypes are released during the first week of September:

    Liquid Silver
    Crystalline White
    Ipod White
    Chrysalis Blue
    Enchanted Red

If all goes to plan, you can bet that their range of designs, patterns and colours will spread like wildfire. Hopefully we can get a pre-release prototype copy and review it, so stay tuned for that in the near future.

    from pspupdates.com

Yoshihiro Releases Version Changer for the PSP - No Need to Update for Games!

"Great news from Yoshihiro and Wab. Yoshihiro has just released a program that will allow you to run games requiring a firmware update, without updating! This program will trick your system into thinking that it is a v1.52 system. When you run the program you will be able to check your firmware version and it will say v1.52. You will still be able to launch eboots from your memstick (such as the version changer etc…), and you can change it back to 1.50 when you are done. This program does NOT update your firmware. It is said that you cannot run the update to v1.52 (although I have not tested this) because the system thinks that it is already 1.52"

Hopefully Yoshi will release a region free movie patch for the euro launch :)
