    Whats the best freeware xp reg cleaner out there? The link to the program in the list on the software thread is for windows 95!

    Yep, regseeker is excellent, altough I've found I had to use runas administrator to get it to work properly, even though I was logged in as administrator.

    actually, its throwing up stuff when I check, saying that certain extensions aren't being used etc. One example .pl when I know perl is installed. It even through up alot of Illustrator extensions and Ive got it installed. Kinda dodgy to me, will I need to handpick out the "actual" errors myself?

    i've never had any probs with selecting all and deleting.

    I'm guessing a progam will reassociate with the file type when its run next.
