I'm trying to set my router up to allow me to host a website on my own computer, but I cannot for the life of me get Port Forwarding working on my Smart Telecom Aolynk DR814 modem.

I want to point all traffic on Port 80 to, say, 192.168.1.254

Should I use Advanced NAT configuration or Port Filters or what?

    Login to your router
    Click under security
    Select Advanced NAT configuration
    Select Add Reserved Mapping
Leave Global as 0.0.0.0 so it updates to your current IP
    Put your IP in internal
Select type to whatever is needed.
Put the port(s) required (the same in external and internal if your doing direct port mapping)
Click save or whatever button is on that page.

i tried exactly that to map ports 6881 - 6889 to imporve torrent speeds from the measly 4 K they are at now (i had to do the same on my old eircom cayman and it worked perfectly).

I wasnt really sure which type of port to enable so i tried them all. it didnt matter as i got the same error every time:

webserver:Error adding NAT reserved mapping pool item0

    any ideas??
