Anyone know what the setup details for the ntl newsgroups is? I think it was something like news.ntlworld.ie but I can't remember and had to do a reformat so lost it. Checked the site and found nothing.

    What about BT??
They may be small in Ireland but in the UK they are the big boys and must have newsgroups.

They have newsgroups in ireland but they don't carry binary threads if thats what your looking for.

When I get home I can post the newsgroup address if you want.

For those who might have trouble signing up to a newsgroup:

    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/using/howto/oe/gettingnews.mspx

As Outlook Express is standard in WinXP this guide should be easy to follow.
