If you didn't delete any then yes, 10 megs filled no bother. That's what I like about gmail, you don't have to go deleting anything.

Plus the deleted e-mails are always the ones that have some piece on info that will be needed at a later date as has happened more than once to yours truly.

Hence gmail is nice and handy.

    Own domains for receiving.

Old (pre-Microsoft) Hotmail account with spoofed headers (to match my domains) for sending (you can't do this on modern hotmail accounts).

    Pegasus as a client.

Use redbrick(dcus netsoc) with mutt, sometimes with thunderbird or SquirrelMail.

Used to use eircom with mutt. But I don't use eircom accounts for anything anymore, so just check it with thunderbird once every few weeks.

Have a gmail account but don't use it.

Does nobody have an ISP-provided mail account? I can't stand webmail, it's invariably slow and crap. Anyone with any sense stores all their mail locally anyway, no?

I use Mozilla thunderbird with Gmail. When in work or elsewhere away from my own PC I use gmail's web interface.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,487 ✭✭✭Kevin_rc_ie

i use my college mail and gmail with thunderbird. thou it p1sses me off no end, it 's such a memory hog when starting up. i used to use Outlook express with i much prefer but i was advised to stay from microsoft email clients.

however, both my college and gmail however, have webmail interfaces so can be accessed from any computer.

i also use pine for email.

You can actually generate the invite link using your own email address, even your gmail account, and then forward the link on via a PM or whatever does work.
