can't remember the name of the book (it's the one where Ross gets married to Sorcha) but when the chick from the northside he got up the pole is working the wedding as a waitress that was hilarious!

And on a theme on this week's boards, when the got the t-shirts which read 'I scored Ross O'Carroll Kelly/Fionn etc etc at the Old Wesley school disco' was pretty funny too!!!

Has to be taken with a pinch of salt but v good light readin...and not to far off some of the rugger boys from the southside

I cant stand it. It reminds me too much of people I've meet. I always want to punch those guys out whenever they start talking like that.

    P.S. I scored the bridesmaids.
A friend gave me the book to read, I had to text her every so often for some of the slang. Never did fid out what "Grey Thursday" is about.

i have an autographed copy of the original "Teenage Dirtbag Years".
The older books are way funnier than the reprints.I LOVE the column but it was way funnier when he was in school and college as opposed to out working

Should have spoiler tag since that is (now was) one of the big surprises of the book.

Books are very cool. Goys loike him do exist... sad to say.

I have to admit that I really enjoy the books... I resisted reading the Teenage Dirtbag years for long enough but am glad I cracked...

Tampax Ross is my favourite line yet - 1 week in 3 weeks out!!

    Muppet draggin up old posts.

Roysh = right with the "soft 't'" that Gay Byrne keeps yapping on about.

Just borrowed the Teenage Dirtbag Years after reading the column in the Tribune a few times in recent months, very humourous. He's not a totally unredeemable or unsympathetic character, though maybe that's just me being nice...

Saw his Orange Mocha Chip Frapuccino Years book in a store in Bangkok and thought it looked funny (in an in-joke sorta way) I bought it coz it was cheap and although I read the first 30 odd pages or so I just got sick of his style of writing especially the way he has to write EVERYTHING in that roight goys any soign of Fiacra and Lorcan etc etc.... it just became tiresome so I gave up (and I don't give up on books easily). Might get back to it at some stage unless I can trade it for something better!

I think that's what makes it so funny paul, if he was a complete bastard all the time it'd be a bit boring and wouldn't be able to make the point that it was his upbringing and background that had him turn out the way he did...

The books are pretty funny :)

hmmmmmm i thought that too when i read the first one about 3 years ago, i got sick of it less than half way thru but a few months later i started reading it again & i couldn't put it down..........Give it another try Giles

Read all these in about a week! Focking hilarious. tbh i'm glad I dont know anyone like this (even though i'm, for the time being, living in blackrock)

Some of the funniest books i've read.

'Looks like you'll have to get off at sydney parade' had me in stiches for weeks.

'I wanted to call this book, 'The Guy who went to sleep in a bed, but woke up in a tent' but it wouldnt fit on the cover'

Also had me giggling like a school girl!
