    Hi,

Anyone has any experience with installation or source deployment of Liferay Portal yet? I am looking for some advice and technical help if possible.

More info about the portal can be found under
    www.liferay.com

    Cheers

Its not going to be a push over, You'll neeed to install tomcat and get that servering servlets first. Then you'll need to add the apache jk_mod so apache will offload all servlets/jsp to tomcat etc.(depending on if your installing on Linux)
A portal that is easier to setup is Mambo
