After a sentence, people sometimes put a few dots after the sentence, such as "...". My question is how many dots do you use...? I use 3, but I've seen some people use 10, or sometimes its random.

4 usually, but sometimes I just go craaaaazy.....and use 5.

Punctuation lesson for the day: Those little dots are called ellipses when you have 3 of them in a row. So 3 is the corect amount to use

however, that said i would usually use 4 as i think it looks nicer

Anyone who uses a number other than three is obviously mentally impaired in some fashion and I feel perfectly justified in ignoring, making fun of, or just plain flaming the perpetrator.

Using 4 dots. i tells ya, back in my day you'd be lucky to get 2 dots and now your just throwin dots around like there's no tomorrow. For shame.
