    Unregged for this :)

For all those who don't believe in true love (tm)

I think I found it on here, on boards, on the intarweb.

Crazy isn't it? Geeky most definitely, but crazy?

We're both cynics. I mean, serious cynics. But we may have to retract many previous posts where we both ranted against these kind of threads on here. We're both so rational normally.

We're so happy right now, yes this is a joint post!

Is it possible for things to change so quickly in so short a time? Are all cynics just around the corner from true love? (glances at TC)

It's not perfect or anything, we both have many flaws. But, neither of us have ever felt like this before. I know, how cliched.

Well, if it isn't true love, it'll still do nicely.

I mean only two people in true love could do a joint post on here.... ;)

    Any thoughts/reactions/wild guesses?

Yes you are unregged, well done, you noticed.

The fact that you are unregged leads me to disbelieve the fact that you have found true love with another boards user.

Or 1; you're afraid of getting slated
or 2; he/she might not feel the same
or 3; you don't want to get banned for harrasing some innocent person here on boards

But if it is true love, nice one & enjoy it.

This is gonna be such an interesting thread to keep an eye on.

In answer to your question, I'd say yeah, it's entirely possible but I wouldn't say it happens too much.

I could always check the IP to see if this is a blatant troll, which is what it most likely is.

possible if the girl involved has mega issues in her life that need sorting, , yes it is true love

Wouldn't know about the whole love thing. But thanks to the internet I've been able to keep in contact with friends from other sides of the country or who live abroad. One such person I've not seen in about 2 years now but we usually talk daily on msn.

    Tis handy.

either that or a link to the parenting forum...

Thinking about it the since people generally stick to the same forums (you like cars so you read and post alot on the motors forums) so eventually you'll start talking to the same people who have the same interests as you. Who knows what might happen...

    ecksor, please read the charter.

And even cynics can find love.

Maybe I am being an old romantic but I do believe that it is possible to find love on the net - I met someone on the net and he was one of the great loves of my life (he is still a friend), so yes, I do believe that it is possible.

Just read your post, "yes this is a joint post!" - gonna go throw up :P

Good point you're raising without realising it though -
Crazy isn't it? Geeky most definitely, but crazy?

I don't think it's crazy at all. It's just a sign that the internet nowadays (and for a long time) attracts completely normal people, not just geeks, so why is is it crazy?

And yes you are a troll

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 35,954 ✭✭✭✭Larianne

And yes you are a troll

I have seen this been used a lot on the boards. Is it just a new hip way of saying "you're a eejit", yeah?

What's wrong with these people posting together? They obviously want people to know that the boards is another way of finding that special person. Or they are just rubbing it in our faces. Either way, good luck to yas both!!

I met one of my best friends on the net. Been friends with him for nearly 3 years now. It's not a geeky way at all for meeting people. Most people have the interent now and lots use it to make new friends etc. Sure look at the amount of dating websites on the net!!!

Perhaps. Perhaps not. Depends if we take the right corner at the right time. Certainly we all have turned a corner and found love in the past, but true love? I don’t know; perhaps your instincts are right, perhaps they’re wrong. Time will tell.

In the meantime I wish you both the best of luck with it. Really - I’ve witnessed enough evil in my life to appreciate a happy ending.

Met a guy online who lived in usa, we chatted for a year online.

we have been living together as partners for 5 years now :)

Somtimes, just somtimes it does work, but it is a risk, but isnt every relationship? ;)

    A) Joint post = person + pam (and her 5 friends)
    B) Joint post = stoned
    c) Joint post = fellow nerd in your company

I've yet to see one that says they're female in their profiles. I only know they're women when I meet them IRL™. By then its too late/I forget about their posts.

    =-=

Well, its about f*cking time there was a "happy ending" on this forum. Congratulations, and good luck to both of ye. Hope it turns out well for ye.
