i was pretty amazed my machine even runs BF2 as well as it does.

    AMD 2200+ 1.80GHz
    512mb corsair 2700 (2 x 256mb)
    Radeon 9600xt 128mb

Runs fine if all settings are on medium with 1024 x 768, view distance at 100% and AA on x2 but fps hovers around 30

I turned all the settings to low and left view distance at 100% and the AA at x2 and put resolution to 800 x 600 @ 85Hz, i know get 60-70 fps at all times.

pretty pleased with how it is running now, especially sinced i was worried i would have to get a good bit more RAM, although i will be doing so soon

    :D:D:D

Running grand on my rig in game, only problems I've had have been the 4 times it crashed while in a menu. Gets a little laggy when initially entering the map.

    AMD 2600+
    512 DRR 400MHz
    128 6800LE

1024x768 Everything on Medium, Distence is um 80% I think. Have been too distracted with excitement to check FPS..

    Well just bought Valdez's pc.

    AMD 3000
    1GiG crosair ram
    Geforce GT 6800 256 MB

    bf%202%20screenie.JPG

All high with AA x 4, FPS is about 30, On ship goes down to 15
Played with medium and AA x4, FPS was 40 to 50. So lookin good for me.

Turn AA off its doesnt do much only lags the game, glorious visuals are for Sp games not MP.

Agreed. Even if I had a machine capable of glorious graphics I would still turn the settings down to get a few more fps. Incidentally was playing on the tig server yesterday and hit a return key and knocked me out back to the desktop. Weird.

Sorry lads wondering if anyone can help!

What settings should I have, tried all but none seem 100%:-

    6600GT
    2gb Ram
    p4 3.0 Oc'd to 3.3
    19' Hyundai LCD LD90+ Monitor

    including:-

    Display Mode
    Overal Quality
Anti Aliasing (wtf is this ??)

Any help greatly apprciated, btw the NRG Bf2 demo server rocks!

hey drapper, to be honest i would have thought high setting would be ok for your specs.

AA is Anti Aliasing, it basically smooths off the edges of the models to give them less of a jagged look, but can take a good chunk of graphics power to do so, so id say leave it off.

try everything on medium and see how it goes, test it on an irish server with a good few people, see how it handles. If its good start bringin it up, ive also switched off dynamic shadows, becasuse they look silly (big boxes for me) and ive gotten some FPS boost too.

i know its kinda the usual answer, but its kinda trial and error to getting it set up to playing well.

Aye Dapper, you should be able to run everything med-high. If your having problems the only thing I could suggest would be to adjust the o.c.
