Did anyone else get loads of decimals in the ratio question?

Mine all totted up to 324.999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999999

instead of 325. What the hell.
jonny, no I didn't get the decimals.

this is how I done that question which I think worked out perfectly.

    1/3 : 1/3 : 1/4 use the common denominator - 12 - to get whole numbers so
    6/12 : 4/12 : 3/12 disregard the 12's so you get
    6 : 4 : 3 which add up to 13

    divide 325 by 13 = 25
    25 * 6 = 150 first portion
    25 * 4 = 100 second portion
    25 * 3 = 75 third portion

    to check the answer you add 150 + 100 + 75 = 325

i did the same, unfortunately it looks like it was some wierd compound interest type question except with population.

For that ratio one I messed it up to no ends. I never even noticed about the 12 lcm, and instead changed them to decimals, and multiplied by a hundred, got 50,33,25. Then they all added up to 325 (with some tinkering ;))
