    I'm trying to change Images when I press directional buttons onthe keyboard.

    I've already tried JButtons and JLabels but they don't change the Icons!!!
    ImageIcon forward_red = new ImageIcon ("images/forward_red.gif");
    ImageIcon forward_green = new ImageIcon ("images/forward_green.gif");
    forward	= new JButton(forward_red);
    ...................................

    if (keycode == 38) {
    // change from red to green!!

    Problem solved with:
    forward.setImage(forward_green);
