    Battery life about: 3 hours

    Its only possible in newer machines that have PCI Express.

    (p4)Purely performance. I bought mine as a desktop replacement, not as a portable toy (that's what my Centrino work laptop is for
    I dont have a problem with my p4 either- even when I travel with it theres usually a plug socket about and 3 hours lifetime seems plenty- I mean - its IRELAND- we dont go to the park with our laptops or use them on the bus!
    anyways my spec:

    Dell Inspiron 5160
    3.2 p4
    512 RAM
    15 inch screen
    USB soundcard - behringer BCA 2000
    nice leather dell laptop travel case bought on ebay for only 25 quid.

    have it about 6 weeks and very happy with its performance as a desktop replacement. 2 Minor issues would be the lack of USB ports [only 2] and the noise of the p4 - I do audio work. Its dead fast tho.

    Single-spindle, ultra-portable form factor, under 2.5 lbs. Best £120 on eBay yet :D (after a DELL C600 850Mhz/256RAM/20GHDD/DVD-CDRW @ £225 and a Tosh Portege 7020CT PII 300/128RAM/6GHDD with DVD base @ £120).
