As per title - if you have a laptop, what have you got "under the hood"?

Just curious as to what people have.

To get the ball rolling, here's my spec:

HP pavillion, 3.2Ghz P4, 1 Gig ram, ATI mobility Radeon 128Mb, 15.5 inch widescreen, DVD drive, 30 Gig hard drive, 5-in-1 memory card reader, 3xUSB, 1xFirewire, S-video out, Wifi, Ethernet.

And oh, crap battery life (almost 2 hours).

    P4 3.06ghz processor.
    512mb ram.
    ATI radeon 9000 mobility.
    40gb hd.
    WinXp
    DVD/r Cdrw combo.
2 usb ports, network card, the usual.
Battery life = not the best, never tested as I use it on mains mostly a desktop replacement for rest of the family.

    Centrino 1.7Ghz, 512MB DDR2700 ram, ATi 9700 128MB, 15" SXGO(1400x1050) non-widescreen, DVD+-RW(4x) 80GB HD, 4-in-one cardreader, 3xUSB2, FireWire, Ethernet 10/100, WiFi b/g, S-vid/VGA-out.

5+hour battery life, depending on what I'm doing.

Re the small HD, I've found having a massive HD just encourages you to leave all the crap you install-to-test on there instead of dumping it when your finished with it(ie Games/Software Demo's; random freeware; etc), and I'd normally keep all my essential files on an external HD anyway! So that's a fairly good way of saving a couple of euro, I guess.

    Quite simply - price.

The whole thing cost me the equivalent of 970 Euro in the US. I actually bought it with a Celeron and put in the 3.2Ghz processor myself.

Purely performance. I bought mine as a desktop replacement, not as a portable toy (that's what my Centrino work laptop is for biggrin.gif). I don't travel with it, so battery performance was way down on the list of priorities.

I make a lot of DVD's and am getting back into games, to the desktop processor makes a hell of a difference.
