The clutch bell is the gear that is in front of the engine, the spur gear(big gear) is beside the clutch bell and the slipper clutch is in front of the spur gear(some models only).

    Hi,

It could also be beacuse the spur and clutch arnt touching,
When you push the vechile with the top off can you see these gears turning?

If yes, a clutch spring may have gone or even the shoe. (these are the pads that will grip onto the clutch bell once a certain rpm has been reached)

I have been nitro'ing for a few years sadly its been on/off but im 100% back into it:)

At the moment im running a hoppedup ofna hyper7 pbs. I am a basher but ill race if needed :p I have changed many of the orginal parts beacuse i took the word bash to far, My favorite change is all my electronics new high torque servos, new radio (crystalless) althought it COULD be illegal over here.

+ Im new to these forums
and only been in ireland for 3months and im loving it (already moved twice!)

    (ignore my horrid english)

    Hi,
i tried to fathom that german website out that was posted on here by Poache. The prices are cheep but the form is in German and I couldnt fathom it out.
Poache, I like your car and they still have it at your price. Did you try to talk to them on the phone to make sure your order was correct?
Has anyone tried to order from the US? If so how much was the import duty? Did you have to pay any?
Any help on this would be great as the prices in Ireland are way over the top.

    Cheers DTS :D

I bought my radio equipment from the states, But at the time i was living in the canary islands, I had to pay import duty :(

im pretty sure if its coming from the outside of europe you will have to pay import tax, Unless our ask the person you buy it from to not provide documents that it was purchased and how much its worth. (then its considered a gift and will have no duty)

I have ordered a CT4S Porsche 911 Gt3 PK Sport and i was wondering if there is any clubs or tracks suitable for this car in the Cork city area? The car is nitro and goes at the speed of 73.4 m/ph.

I presume seeing as the dog track is new that the car park is good for onroad cars also?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 269 ✭✭CHUCKLEZ

Unreal very big plus another unfinished car park next to that for the offroaders ;)

The car park, bout the size of a football field, but no obstacles in that size (except for the outer step)

there are two spaces that big, one is smooth, the other is gravel!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 32 Stam the sham

Sounds good must check it out. What days and what time is it empty at?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭SLIM19198

Its empty most days as it is only used in the evenings, and only about 4 nights a week!

If you are heading out there, give us a pm, we can meet you out there! (me and chucklez)

Cool are you two related in some way or know each other or anything along those lines i went past the the track the other day i didnt see any big car park either it was dark so that might explain.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭SLIM19198

    Yeah, chucklez is my bro!

Tis hard to see the car park unless you are actually on the new road inbound and looking out for it!!

Even when you drive in to it, you dont realise it as the first car park is small with lots of grassy islands, but keep driving and it opens right up onto a nice flat car park, just ripe for racing!!!

Continue on through this car park and you find another, of equal size, but this time its gravel :O

    Joy of joys!!

Lol yeah i was on the new road i saw the greeny thingy's also sounds cool it would be good if there was a clun started.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,312 ✭✭✭SLIM19198

If you wanna start one, I will join!!!

I got an on roader and an off roader (prefer off road!)

The first step is too get a site then a positions for ppl and then rent certain places. etc... I dunno which is better on road or off road.

    Hi Guys,

I just came across this discussion board today.

I see some of you might be interested in racing RC cars.

There is a club based in St. Annes, Raheny who have access to a World Class onroad track: www.orcaireland.com

You will find lots of info. on their site, if you go to the forum section all the dates etc for club & national rounds are listed.

There is also a governing body in Ireland for RC car racing called the RCCAOI: www.rccaoi.org. The RCCAOI is affiliated to EFRA who are the European governing body for RC car racing: www.efra.se

There is quite a large community of racers who meet on a regular basis throughout the season.

    Hope this info. is useful???

    All the best

    Kevin

    Good information Kevin.

I notice that both the orcaireland and RCCAOI websites have small forums in them, but neither are very active. Perhaps (if you have some say in the running of either of these websites) they could have a link to this board here - as though it's only been in existence for 6 months, it appears to be the most active model-related board in Ireland...

    Just a thought,
    Fobia.
