Right. Here's another. It's not a flipped pic, it's post-war, and the rear window opens on this mystery contestant. There's a BMW connection here too.

Hard to imagine that this great marque of exclusive quality vehicles amalgamated in the Simca/Talbot/Chrysler soup of horrid saloons and compact cars of the seventies, and worse still, the eighties

. So it's not only the Brits who made a b***s of their heritage in the seventies and eighties. At least the British makes have undergone some sort of resurrection...

Unkel: the engine is a 4 cylinder 2,5 litre 120bhp. Talbo-Lago's were indeed fitted with the Famous v8 from the BMW 507, but this engine has a displacement of 3,1 litre!

Alastair, I know exactly what car it is, but I will keep the other guessing for a while (you shouldnt have mentioned the BMW heritage
