CD-Key Authorization

    Hello, I just got my broacdband up and running again but when I went to start a game of Call of Duty it says awaiting cd-key authorization for ages ( mostly it never stops ) I can't play my beloved COD nwo and I'm a bit pissed off. Any help?? The cd-key is legit and all that jazz

    Did you enter the cd key in again after instalation in Multiplayer Options?

    I've never had that problem personally (maybe a few times for a few seconds)...

    I would advise reinstalling CoD and patch 1.4 and see if this helps.

    tried that already but to no avail it must be something with my DSL router or something

    It might be blocked by your firewall.

    Haven' the same problem.... tried disabling firewall, then forwarding ports triggering ports.... can't find any answers... :-(

    When is it happening, when the single player game loads or when you try connecting to a server using multiplayer ?

    I've had it a couple of times but it always clears after about 5 to 10 seconds when connecting to a server.

    "Awaiting cd-key authorization" and "Duplicate cd-key" or "cd-key already in use" aren't the same things.

    just a thought - are you trying to connect to a server with All Seeing Eye or Xfire, or directly though CoD?

    Doesnt anyone just use the multiplayer tab on the main menu?

    It's easier to find servers with ASE or Xfire etc.
