OK Im just wondering does windows 95 work will when joined into a windows 2003 Standard domain, also Im wondering whats the best way to setup user home folders,

IE create a folder called users and share it out giving everyone full permissons then lock down the invidual folders to the user and the administraor? or else there a better way to do this ?

I can create a login script to map the shared user drive after and put this into the profile

    imo,
you can add a user to a domain for win95, but 95 cant 'log on' securely, why would you want 95, or 98, or me... near a domain?
If anyone(that wants to) gets near the 95 box they can find user name/pw for domain logon in seconds,
its one big black hole of insecurity, heartbraking repair abd network errors no-one has seen in years
Maby make a guest a/c with it? give little or no rights...

well it'll probably run the login script unlike XP home or about 1/3 copies of XP pro...

local access to a 9x pc is simply press escape. you can then crack the pwl file. if it's a notebook with a pcmcia network card you can eject the card power it up and pop the card in again (can't remember the exact sequence - but no password required.)

you can use rmtshare on the resource kit to share folders / cacls to assign permissions form the server side. on the client side putinenv is an app that will allow you to use NT variables in 95 with a lot of tweaking eg: net use F: \\server\username$ etc.

win95 can have a network install , you only need about 3 MB + drivers and hte rest of the files are on the server - but a pain to setup and not all version (there are 7) of 95 support it.
