I would have expected, given that their website does not have all the crap that most websites have would make the site compatible with different browsers.

It works fine in internet explorer, but it means haveing to run internet explorer to view the site which is kind of inconvenient.

    aparantly not

This is something I noticed myself a while back. I've asked a web developer about it and other people have mentioned how ugly/messy it is.

Not sure exactly what to do about it however.

I don't like using Internet Explorer as the magnification it provides is nowhere near as good as Firefox. As a result I'm more likely to ignore the site altogether.

Perhaps a letter or e-mail to NCBI might help?

I sent a mail to their web team when i noticed it.

I dont use the magnification on the browser as I have zoomtext I just got the firefox for other reasons.

if firefoxes magnification is any good i might use that instead as the other program is memory hungry

I haven't used ZoomText in ages, as I don't like how it slows up things and makes viewing webpages rather awkward. I'm quite happy with Firefox and since they installed it on all the machines in college I can while away even more hours in procrastinators heaven.

was fiddling with the size thingy on firefox its actually quite good. you only got three options with internet explorer. unreadable, too small, and not quite big enough

Hehe yeah :D I thought IE was the biz 'til I found Firefox. Then I realised why my head was melty after a lengthy period online. The size options on Internet Explorer really aren't practical at all.

well at least it will free up a couple of megs on the hard drive and alot of memory.

Yeah it's quite handy in that regard also. I've been pimping it to lots of people so hopefully they'll find it useful too.

I'm sure it has plenty of limitations, as does IE, but so far none of them have impeded on me.

and do you know what the funny thing is, ZoomText is over €500

those technical aids grant people could save themselves alot of money

Then they'd probably have to spend it on other things, we all know how much they dislike spending money!

    Really?

What problems are you experiencing with Firefox?

I'm using it and haven't had any trouble.

I am also using firefox. Are you using accessibility software with it, or are you just having problems with it in general.

most of the users on boards are using firefox.

Aye, that's why I find it surprising.
