I'm hoping to get a corset to wear to my grad next summer, but I have absolutely no idea where I can get one....I don't want to order online because I have a fairly curvy figure thats no official size and I don't want to pay good money for something that doesn't fit comfortably or look right. Doesn't really matter where the corset makers would be, I'm more than willing to travel, but Dublin really would be the best. Thanks for any suggestions!

Monsoon sometimes do lovely corsets and matching skirts, in beautiful colours etc. but can be bit on the 'spensive side..

Expense, as long as its not the omg-this-thing-cost-two-quid-to-make-and-they've-multiplied-it-by-400 kind, isn't a big problem, I want this outfit to be special, but I really wanna get my own design made y'see :( I'll take a look though, thanks :)

bridal designs on aungier street is where i got my debs dress made, they did a fantastic job. i got a gorgeous corset and full skirt made with a matching wrap. obviously you dont have to go the whole hog, mine cost 250 old irish pounds, but its a beautiful dress. if you get a style that you will wear again then its definately worth it. made to fit, with several re-fittings during the course of making. they had a great selection of fabrics to choose from, and im sure they'd be happy to work with your own if you find something you like.
you could also ask them if they will simply custom make you a corset if you find a suitable skirt elsewhere.
quality dressmakers, definately worth the money that was paid for it.

    super fashions methinks
nice dresses, but not a huge selection size wise, so she might have trouble getting something that fits.

hey, original poster - did you ever find what you were looking for? on the look out for a corset myself for the end of this month, ideally in dark colours like dark purple, green, red or black. any suggestions?

is miss fantasia any good? (what about the range of sizes - i would also fit into your "fairly curvy" descrtiption)

I got my corset in a lingerie store in Lonodn, but Asha in Dublin sell them. They are all a standard size there, and unfortunately my chest wasnt big enough for them :( , cos they are really really nice
