    Hi all,

Does anyone train with http://www.dublinkendo.com/. or have any experience of kendo in general?

I was looking to know how sports / competition oriented it is, how intensive the training is, is it purely a physical art or is there a spiritual element taught, how soon do you have to invest in all the armour, anything you can tell me at all.

    Thanks,

    I train in Kendo.

Yet i train in England as it's were i Live.
I have met a few lads who train from DCU.
The only advice I can give is go and check it out first hand.
No amount of talk will make up for trying it out.

I've been doing it for 10 months now and really enjoy it.

It's very demanding physically because of all the Armour which means a good level of fitness is essential.

There are a couple of threads in this section give them an ol gander

Also check google for the British kendo Association website thats got loads of good info
Also another is www.Kendoworld.org i think?

Any other questions i'll be happy to answer.

Thanks for the reply, after having read a bit more I think I'll go along and watch a class, probably the best way to get a handle on it :)
