MP3 ID tags converting between version?

I have a CD/PM3 player that can only handle v1.1 tags. Most of my MP3s are tags with v2 tags. How can I convert them back to V1.1 when creating a CD for the CD/MP3 player?

ID3 Tagit will do this.

It'll copy info from the v2 tags into v1 tags. It won't need to actually convert them as you can have both at the same time.

I must recommend MP3 Book Helper
http://mp3bookhelper.sourceforge.net/

It's the best tagger program I ever used. Has a nice feature to look up the id3 tags of an album on freedb after you've ripped the cd to your HDD. Very handy if your on dial-up:)
