off public toilet cubicles.

You can travel around the world from Abu Dhabi to Zanzibar and in every civilised country when you need to use the cubicles in a public lavatory there is a handy hook on the back of the door to hang your coat.... except in Ireland some b*gger has gone around and snapped off every single one. What gives? Is this some kind of a cult?

PS I speak of Gents toilets. My experience of Ladies rest rooms is somewhat limited.

I once saw a guy taking a dump in a urinal, even though there were two empty cubicles.

What disturbed me even more was the fact that he was eating a sandwich while doing this.

perhaps they're just cheap and crappy "made in ireland" coathooks that fall off whenever anybody puts any sort of weight on 'em? or it's the cult of the coathook..indeed.

Indeed it is quite annoying when you goto the edward J and find to ones horror there is no place to hang the coat. Then gingerly raise your trouser leg slightly so it doesnt get soaked in the pools of piss from where obviously the cyclobs is unable to guide the projectile towards the ****ing toilet. That or all over the seat. Havent people been trained how to use the ****ing toilet is what I'm wondering?!

It is a mystery alright but you know whats even worse is Busaras. I had the unfortunate occassion to have to use the public toilets there a while back and I have to say the cubicles were in a shocking condition, doors hanging off, locks busted etc etc. This is the HUB for bus transport in the country and where a lot of tourists are going to be.

But I wasn't really surprised considering as a nation we can't even keep our streets clean. Basically, we are PIGS!
