I've played quite a bit of Magic the gathering in game form for the PC, but the way you have to go out and actually buy cards would put me off, I'd prefer a game where everyone has a level playing field, as opposed to being able to buy an advantage.

Oh and if you're interested there are RPG events where a lot of Magic is played that also have a computer games area run by folk from here, DubLAN and the TrinLANs pring to mind. You could kill 2 birds with one stone at some of these, Magic and Quake/CS/whatever in the same place

Ah leds, you're right, I shouldn't have moved it to trolls. Humour would be more appropriate as this post has given me a lot of laughs.

Just to explain a few things:
The Pendril Flux is a running joke from DubLan where we mocked the Magic the Gathering people (because they seemed to have less life than us nerds that spend so much time on the net.)

A troll in netspeak is the art of baiting people into a certain response. You've been framed is the nearest "real world" equivilant.

This board (trolls) should really have been called Spam.

But I've had my fun, all future MtG posts will be untouched. (losers :P )

I enjoy playing magic as much as I do playing CS/QW, and overall it nets me at least 3-4 grand a year in cash and prizes. I have travelled to America multiple times, England, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and Japan to name just a few places, which is I gather further then youve ever been from your computer screen to play a game.

I also happen to have run trinLAN for the last 2 years, and with this kind of abuse from a moderator who thinks he should have some power to decide what other people should be interested in, I see no reason to run a third. Its a lot less stress for me, and Ill still enjoy the weekend just as much as always.

Hey I play Magic cards. I havent bought cards in months, but me and my friends have had good times playing it. If anyone wants to play apprentice I'll update mine so we can.

And damned if we Magic players are losers when it indeed says that all of you with 1000s of posts have "no life." All i gotta say...
