Has anyone else noticed that lately it can takes ages to log on to My Vodafone and then ages again to the get to the free text page?

yes its been like that for some weeks now

started round the same time as the online store was added

Ya noticed that also. There is a thread some where on the wireless board about it.
It isn't too bad usualy after working hours. Loads faster then.
