Hey,

Someone from the Netherlands reporting and looking for some help!

I'm trying to find information about this:

The problem is, i dont know what its called in English.

I already tried to look for advertising pole/tower/stake/mast, but i cant seem te find anything. Can someone help me out?

Is this something you see in Ireland or not? In Holland for instance you see tons of these things next to the highway but in Belgium they never heard of them

"Bilboard's on large/high poles"

well if u blow the picture up enough/get a bigger picture im sure there is a phone number of the firm who operates them printed on there somewhere. possibly they could tell you the name

I have driven the length and breadth of Ireland on business and I have never seen any sign approaching the scale of that one. It would be a billboard. The largest we would have would be advertising hoardings of the "Dave Allen" Type. Sometimes illuminated but most often not.

BTW did you hear the one about.......

After that the thread went into comedy mode.

In response to Yakumi rolling his eyes at our humour and asking if we had "these things" in Ireland, I responded sarcastically with "No we don't". Fair enough, not so large, but a billboard is a billboard.

I then attempted to close Yakumis further probing by confirming that yes it is in fact a fúcking billboard.
Jesus Christ like!!! It's a bleedin billboard. So no need to call me a ****ing spastic. When three people tell you the answer to a question, do you KEEP ASKING?

I wanted to know what those large billboards are called, thats why i kept asking or probing as you call it. I'm doing some research for a company who maybe can produce the masts, so thats why im interessed in those large ones.

Now i think that there are two possiblities. Or there are no producers of the billboards or the goverment has forbidden them, right?
Anyone working for the goverment?
