Have any of you used the e-donkey client for downloading MP3s?

I've just found a site to download some files, but you have to use e-donkey to download them.

Just wondering if any of you have used the client before and does it contains adverts or spyware in it?

    Cheers

I use emule which is a variation of edonkey. its not great for downloading mp3's, its more suited to ....other stuff.

    soulseek is best for mp3s

Emule is faster than edonkey i find
good program for downloadin hard 2 find stuff
    or discographies of artists
very few if any fakes on the network, plus the network is
huge, probably the biggest out there
has no spyware that i know of
can be VERY slow though so only of use if u have broadband

lots of sites that index files for u 2 download
    google is ur friend

ps all info above is for legit crap as what would b wrong with u to do something crazy like get pirated material

I use emule as well. It's open source, no spyware and obviously should you feel the need you can download the source code and compile it yourself.

would this not be better in the broadband forum.... you'd get more feedback there.

And on a more on-topic note: Edonkey is incredibly slow, i once queued for 2 days straight, and got about 20megs of a 500meg file, and there were at least 50 peopel to download off!
