Ok, since the mods on Personal Issues seem to abhor cross-pollination in the threads, I've started a new one to get to the bottom of the whole economics/sex/attraction/society issue in the virgin girls thread.
So, what does everyone think is the main criteria for starting a relationship? This is a relationship for sex, not life, by the way. Although if you wanna comment on what you look for in a long-term partner then fire away. Although does anyone really look for a long term partner or are long term partners merely short term one's that you get attracted to or can't get rid of?

What do you look for in a sexual relationship? 56 votes

Physical attractiveness e.g. good body, nice face etc.

    personality e.g. flirty, suggestive etc.

economic factors e.g. status of person, affluence etc.

psychological issues e.g. subconscious/unconscious desires, instincts, pheromones, perversions/fetishes etc.

This is not a personal issue.
    Moving to afterhours.

I disagree, its a personal issue of mine. I'd like it moved back to personal issues as thats where the original thread started.

I disagree, contact a admin if you wish to discuss the matter further.

PS: read the charter of PI

think I will actually. I smell the shirking of responsibility on your behalf.
ANyway, we're in afterhours now so lets take it from there.

Just did there, so whats your point? Where in the charter does it say that this thread can't be in PI? It isn't a troll, it isn't off topic (although I'm just positive you'll debate this part) and it isn't offensive (on the contrary in fact).

We went through a phase of general poll threads on PI some time ago, we reached the conclusion it's not the place for them.

I wouldn't call this general. Its quite specific actually, nothing something I just decided I'd stick in for a laugh.
So you're telling me that if I had put the options in as text instead of a poll that it'd still be on PI? Jesus, gimme a break :dunno:

That's like your opinion dude, as i've said already, take it up with an admin if you have a problem with what i've done(which you have by the looks of it).

I'm Curious, where should you start a public scrap? Personal Issues, or After Hours?

a personal issue is when you have a particular problem,

    do you?

I agree with SheroN, it stays in AH

Yeah you're right, PI is for people with an actual problem, be it emotional or physical, after hours is for hypothetical musings like this thread.

ditto with etho, belongs in ah

i look for personality in relationships, someone with similar likes and interests, to me this is far more important than looks

Personality is a big one for me that and the type of person they are is quite important physical looks isnt a big factor but how i react and get on with a woman (if we click) will tell me if its worthwhile or not.

Psychological issues for me, which generally actually results in psychological issues for me !

tbh personality is one of those things that is highly important but there has to be at least some level of physical attraction otherwise you may as well just be friends.

Ok then, I'll talk to the butcher in future, not the chopping block....dude.
I'm still of the stance that this thread is a personal issue to me. I've a genuine interest in this. How is it that some folk can open a thread on the subject of sex in PI and others can't? Oh let me see, maybe I need to be a virgin? Shit, too late.
Yanno what boards needs? One day in the year where a thread is opened in the morning and people can slag each other off all day without fear of banning etc.

I have to agree with xx
It appears there's a tendancy to move a thread based on the general theme, without looking too much into what the OP had in mind when posting..

happened to me too xx :-(

CAN I ASK THAT A MOD CHANGE THAT VOTE AND REMOVE THE COMMENT OF "PSCYCHOLOGICAL ISSUES"!!!

I take serious offence at that. It's hardly a pscychological issue to have fetishes and be into any form of kinky sex. It's fun to experiment and I think you've actually missed out the most important option in that list!!! BEING GOOD IN BED!! If i'm looking for a SEXUAL relationship specifically, that's what I look for in a person. If i'm looking for a loving lasting relationship then I look for personality, and the ability to make me laugh. The most endeering quality I think someone can have is either a great smile or the lack of hesitation to smile with full joy. Everything else comes with time. The person opens up and explains everything they would like, and you accommodate them as much as you can while expressing your own wants and needs :)

I think though with the way you stated pscyhological issues, you may have some reservations yourself and I think maybe YOU need to speak to someone about your problem with sex! Maybe you have some psychological issues causing you to have an aversion to any kind of sex other than "kiss kiss in out - wham bam thank you mam!"

And I think you are talking through your arse. I used the term 'psychological issues' as a broad base to cover the things that make you attracted to a person without you quite knowing what exactly is causing it. A fetish might be one of those things, just as a crush might be in a looser sense. I'm here to make a point and get people's opinions, not to debate semantics. Jesus, call it what you want if it makes you feel better
I have no problem with sex either, on the contrary in fact, I quite enjoy it and think I'm pretty good at it too. Where's the sin in that? And so what if the kind of sex I'm into is the michael douglas wham-bam-thank-you-m'aam style. The question was, and I quote, "What do you look for in a sexual relationship". If I wanted someone to cuddle in the depths of winter, then I wouldn't be giving them the quick-in quick-out treatment, now would I? In fact, don't answer that because I probably wouldn't be interested in your answer anyway.

    I wish :D
When I do it, I do it right. When I'm not doing it, I'm thinking about how I'll do it the next time I do it. And when I've just done it, I'll be thinking about thinking about it.
