As previously reported , a package on its way from america to me has been delayed enroute, it looks like its been delayed by customs, my question, shud i contact customs? and if i should who exactly am i ringing , the airport? do all flights from america land in Shannon? or what?

Shannon or Dublin I would imagine... If you ring the main customs & excise office I'm sure they'll be able to direct you.

You need to get the reference numebr frm the person who sent it and check with the courier. Customs won't know your package from tens of thousands of others.

the fúckers, customs had it, it arrived here today, charged me 307 euros on VAT. makes me so mad.

No it's not a lot of VAT... they judge it at 21% I would imagine.... or is it 20.5%.... they've changed it a few times in the last while.

Why do you want to fight them? You have to pay the tax. Unless you conned them by making the package as a gift well then you have to pay. AFAIK you can get a gift of up to 300 Euro. Most people just get the package marked as a gift for any amount, meaning that you don't have to pay VAT. Did you do that? Just pay the 30 Euro.... it's nothing FFS
