Yes. It should be updated every time it leaves/enters a USPS location and should take no more than 5 or 6 days to reach here.

    Call them asap.

Did you get it sent as a "gift" ?
The person who sent it prolly has the value on the packaging (bumped up for insurance purposes?), this may make it more interesting to customs.
    I'd ring usps.

The 800 number is the US freefone equivalent of our 1800 freefone.

    Try this 0018002758777
    You'll prolly be charged though.

USPS won't be able to track a package once it's left the US. I reckon GLS probably have it.

If customs are having a look at the package,
    what happens next?

will they contact me? do i contact them?

will i get my parcel ever?

You will have to pay VAT and import duty (2%?) and this may be why it's taking time to process.

GLS are the Irish subsidiary of Royal Mail and have a reputation of messing up deliveries. I don't know if they if they have the contract for UPS.

Ahh memories of that digital camera I never got. Sent from Amazon UK via Royal Mail so by your post I can only presume GLS got their hands on it and "oops" lost it.

USPS tend to be alright really. I've gotten loads of stuff shipped from America over the years and it's always arrived more or less on time. Last thing was delayed a week and a bit, probably due to customs as it was a rather large box.
