Did you see The Blurb today? In the president's address it said something about him going to try and get the college to close for rag week!!!

(It'll be the first good thing they've done this year):dunno:

No chance. We already got a week more than normal at Christmas! The college in no way recognises Rag Week. They no it exists but to them it's a completley external thing. It'd be sweet though.:rolleyes:

there is no way in hell the college will close for rag week. It'll be the same old thing. Lecturers saying "Well we having class as scheduled and it up to you to come". In other words the bloomin' guilt trip! :dunno:

Most likely not. Did the judge not say "Never again!!"?

My lecturers say that they will be goin ahead but realistically they will come in and help the foo's that go to revise some stuff. They just say they'll be there to cover their collective asses.

they haven't been in court for the bar extensions yet, they will just pick a date where Mary Martin won't be in court, thats what they did last year.

and when i was in 1st year, we get wednesday, thurs and fri off. college decided to have all their conferences and meetings and crap. So its not impossible

Actually, I heard, due to the students having no big trouble over the last year (except for some students playing trolley racing @ 3am on a Thursday night, in College Green), they may get the extentions.

Wots the difference? You raise as much as possible, and spend in one week.
Or, in the first 2 days, and live on ha§h + cheap beer for the rest of the week ww)

Also, would there be a room free anywhere? Me wants to stay down in Carlow on the Thursday nite of Rag Week;), but me not like the hostel (Otterholt) too much. Will pay (reasonable amount, but me won't be ripped off) ww)

The whole idea of rag week was raise a grand for charity. hench the R A G part.
Each college would run events and try and each raise a grand but over time it turned into a piss up.
