im putting this here as its important and i need max exposure and feedback.
My band have been offered a gig in Portrush up north and we are debating taking the gig. however we have been told its pretty rough up there. and theres a chance we'll get the shi`te kicked out of us. has anyone got any experience up there? whats it like etc

I've only been up there once, to that massive big nightclub up there, "Rush" iirc.
Me and one other 'southerner' were there with a fewe friends from north donegal, got no hassle at all.

What type of gig? Concert or pub or what?
Any particular reason you think you might get beaten up?

Its a venue called the Retro bar.I just heard some dodgey reports from that way. although ive been told its grand also . just trying to varify
