Moustaches: Gay or Tough

NOTE: This does not apply to old people, or slick handlebar moustaches (e.g. Lemmy from Motorhead).

Do you consider a moustache to be GAY (like Freddie Mercury's moustache) or TOUGH (like a knacker-tache)?

Moustaches are general considered a gay stereotype.
It confuses me as to why scumbags/knackers all have taches (even the younger ones REEEALLY seem to want one ASAP), and what's the difference between knackers who have taches, and those who don't?

It has to be one of the following:
1) Scumbags don't know that a tache is a gay stereotype, because nobody ever had the guts to tell them to their face.
2) They like looking like fags.
3) They just don't care, because they'll just beat the crap out of anyone who calls them gay.

"I think people with moustaches look like knacker scum."

Also, does anyone here (under 40) have a standalone (i.e. not part of a beard or goatee) moustache, and why??

It's not a silly poll. It's a genuine question. If it's silly, then YOU give me a full explanation as to why gays, and scumbags (who generally hate gays) share the same feature - and it's almost an exclusive feature!!

I'm stating FACT - mustaches ARE considered to be gay stereotypes. If you've never heard that before, then you obviously have never seen the Blue Oyster in Police Academy, or the Steel Mill in the Simpsons (or "John" from the Simpsons), or Big Gay Al from South Park.....the list goes on. I'm not slagging anyone, it's just a genuine query as to why scumbags with bumfluff taches want to copy such a stereotype. I mean, is that not a valid point??

Will you all stop being so boring, and just give your thoughts on it?

knacker tashes just make you look like a adolescant muppet (as its more bum fluff than anything else really..)

and i mean any tash, i dont like any of them, they look ridicilous..

i wonder what they do for the clittoris area though when your 'down the road' so to speak..

any women care to elaborate on this? if they dont do anything then my only sole reason for why people "may" have them would be gone.. (i mean one of those big thick furry *looks like a dead hamster* tashes btw

i imagine they do nothing, but thought i would atleast make this topic slightly more intresting.. thats if the topic stays open long enough to find out.. (can we keep it open to hear this info anyway?

"Gay" 'taches are totally different to "knacker" 'taches. You'll never find a knacker with a bushy Freddie Mercury style 'tache.

I believe the bushy 'taches were originally favoured by gays in the San Francisco Bay Area then the look became fasionable among gays around the world.

So, why do scumbags grow the little bum fluff 'taches? Probably to show the world they've reached puberty and are therefore capable of giving someone a baytin and of gettin the roide off jacinta in the flat next door.

Similar to beards really - big bushy full face beards are grown by guys over the age of 40, real ale drinkers, eccentrics, academics, and trainspotters. Whereas goatee beards are grown by younger, poseur type guys who are trying (unsuccessfully) to look cool.

I h8 these stereotypes.

I have grown a full bushy beard a few times, but it's because I cba to shave!! I'm not over 40, and I drink bitter....and tequila. I'm no longer academic, but a little eccentric....

I have also when not in a full beard kept a goatee. I'm not a poser though i'm just beautiful, and my looking cool or lack there of is not a result of a failed goatee
