    It's a hammering now...

It feels the same as every other year, in the end.

One step forward, two steps backwards

Lost on the sidelines today I'm afraid. We look completely clueless tactically. Why we moved away from how we played against Kilkenny is beyond me.

"Well, yeah, you know, that's just, like, your opinion, man"

I suspect this is them done for the year. I'd be shocked if they take Clare based on today. The hype about beating a poor KK team by 7...they've lost today by 14 which flatters them...

As a team, they aren’t 14 points better than us. We got so much wrong today and Galway got it spot on. Tactically they wiped the floor with us today.

I agree but they were 14+ points better today...

Not surprised we were beaten but expected much better from us,Galway just got their scores ridiculously easy on numerous occasions throughout the game .We can complain all we want about the ref or the management but while we can beat any team on the day its the day when its not on the line like today, night and day between today and the game not that long ago in Salthill .Must be demoralising for the team tonight .

100%, Galway were well worth the win today. But the amount of Galway lads just left alone by themselves in the middle of the pitch was shocking today.

Tom Monaghan got 7 points from play. It was like he was invisible to Dublin, there wasnt a Dublin lad near him all game.

We haven't seemed to have learnt anything from last year or even the salthill match .

The ref didnt get much else wrong but that was the point from which there was no coming back for Dublin.

Yeah, we got absolutely cleaned out in midfield yesterday. They always had a spare man there.

I don't think we were getting back at them either way but that was an easy call to make, especially with the linesman looking right at it.

I see Killian McGinnis ruled out of the rest of the inter county season, which is blow to him particularly and Dublin too though for Dublin the season may only last 1-2 more games, he's one of the better players who've come through in recent years, though gets injured alot.

    Hoping to travel to it.

Good to see POCB back and Basquel. No Breathnach - the ongoing absence of Murchan is odd, in the days after he went off injured he did media saying he was fine but he hasn't featured since.

Is this win or bust I.e I they lose their out and theres not another game to go?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,247 ✭✭✭MFPM

Lose and they are out, win and at least one more game which I suspect will be v Cork or Mayo/Tyrone (probably Mayo) assuming results in 2A go as I'd expect. Can't play Louth or Westmeath I believe.

Cavan match isn’t on GAA Go just radio coverage on Northern Sound . Tickets still available. Do I go with extreme reluctance?
Hate to say it but the two sides are fairly even based on form etc.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

don’t really see it like that, we could run away with it and have a massive win, or if it ends up being tight would expect we would be more likely to panic. Yesterdays results showing new rules can make most games a toss up.

No doubt Donegal in draw if win anyway

can't believe GAA+ aren't showing this, it's the last time I give them 95 euro. TSG is not on 'cos of the World Cup, where can I watch the highights. I think TG4 show highlights tomorrow night and there's a review of the weekend on GAA+

Some heat in breffini , relying on Cavan missing chances as its poor start

Thanks for that, I've just seen it on the TV Guide now

lucky that Cavan are hitting so many wides.

Still not great by Dublin. Poor is possession at times, still slow build up at times. Injuries a problem- not sure what the story with Bugler and Costello came off injured. Very hot out there and that had an impact late on. Cavan very wasteful which ultimately cost them.

The results of the weekend have probably made Dublin's task harder - Armagh, Donegal and Tyrone or Mayo await...although the performances of Louth and Westmeath today perhaps but Dublin's games against them in a slightly better light.

Ah it is what it is. Dublin need to beat a big team for a massive conference boost.
