Very clear footage from last nights second attack on Muwaffaq Salti US Air Base. The night previous Jordan said all 5 missiles were shot down but early imagery shows 4 hits on the base.

Last nights show 4 missiles and one interception from 8 interceptors launched. Probably that base will have to be evacuated also soon enough.

Iran has announced the full closure of the Hormuz strait to all shipping, Centcom deny and say the ships are still passing. I suppose we will find out soon enough, difficult to see any shipowner getting insurance or risking it's crew though, you never know someone might risk it if true.

I saw footage of Kuwait airport terminal last week after an Iranian missile was apparently intercepted.

It looked as though the Kuwaiti missile landed on top of the remains of the Iranian missile! Place was in bits.

When shooting clays, wait for the clay pigeon to land, walk up to it, and blast it. It's the surest way not to waste a shell.

A brief recap on the 39 times Trump has said a deal is close.

But will any corporate democrats actually run on a 'disengage from our greatest ally' policy...it feels like any dem that does will be swamped with a well funded alternative.

Trump seems happy that he has achieved success by getting Iran to not have nuclear weapons which they have said they don't want for 40 years.

The US President said: "Today, we ended the war with Iran, and they agreed to never have nuclear weapons - that's what we insisted on... Our entire goal was to do this; it was 95% of our task, and they accomplished it in the most decisive way"

After talking to Israel who are not party to the non binding MOU agreement, Israel seems to think that they also will get everything we want in the final deal.

Starlink IPO today so all eyes will be distracted to that no doubt.

Reminds me of the number of times the daft president said he had obliterated Iran's nuclear capacity. I posted this in early March.

    US/Israel conduct airstrikes on Iran again - Page 193 — boards.ie - Now Ye're Talkin'

13 June 2025: Israel start bombing Iranian nuclear facilities. They did so for 12 days.

22 June 2025: USA join the fight and bomb 3 Iranian nuclear sites.

22 June 2025: Trump declares "Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated"

July 2025: Trump says "It knocked out their entire potential nuclear capacity."

September 2025: Trump again…"But I also obliterated Iran’s nuclear hopes, by totally annihilating their enriched uranium."

October 2025: Trump…"Well, they don’t have a nuclear program. It was obliterated.”

November 2025: Trump...yawn…"It was called Iran and its nuclear capability, and we obliterated that very quickly and strongly and powerfully."

8 January 2026: Guess who…"We knocked out the Iran nuclear threat, and it was obliterated"

13 February 2026: Trump…"…achieving total obliteration of the Iran nuclear potential capability — totally obliterated."

28 February 2026: It looks like we are obliterating again. Netanyahu is calling shots again.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

maybe, iran says they wont give up control of hormuz

I think Donnie is engaging in wishful thinking that a deal is close.

If, as he says, Bibi is getting all he wants from the proposed deal that would likely require capitulation from the Iranians. For instance I can't see the Iranians agreeing to limit their missile production given it's all they have got to use as leverage.

The US President said: "Today, we ended the war with Iran, and they agreed to never have nuclear weapons - Something they didn't have in the first place and weren't that interested in anyway…that's what we insisted on... Our entire goal was to do this; it was 95% of our task…the other 5%, stealing their oil…the most important part to us, we completely failed to achieve, and they accomplished it in the most decisive way"

    FYP Donald.

‘Dangerous’ to assume Lebanon is part of any US-Iran deal

    By Heidi Pett

    Reporting from Beirut, Lebanon

The Israelis have made it clear they don’t consider themselves to be part of this deal, let alone Lebanon, and it’s dangerous to assume Lebanon would be a part of any US-Iran agreement.

In fact, it cannot be assumed Lebanon was a part of the previous “ceasefire” deal on April 8 when we had the Pakistani prime minister, who was key to facilitating that negotiation, announcing Lebanon was part of it.

Instead, what followed were 100 Israeli strikes within the span of 10 minutes and the deadliest day of the war so far here in Lebanon.

So it’s an extraordinarily dangerous assumption for the Lebanese to even think they might be included when there has been no announcement yet – nothing on paper, no media leaks – and the Israelis making it pretty clear they don’t consider themselves part of whatever is going on between the US and Iran.

Iranian FM Araghchi went on state TV last and went into great detail on the current state of play amid a flurry of false media reports.

Now the 14 point document is mostly agreed and enables them to move on to everything else, which is going to take months given the complexity of it.

Quite obvious the early objectives for a quick regime change, civil uprising and destroy the economy failed. On the military front US / Israel are not capable to wage a prolonged war without being battered also, Gulf states seem to understand it was a bad idea now and they would get battered far more than everyone put together.

Israeli and US elections coming up in months and both would get wiped out if it escalated, thousands more Iranians would be killed and the global economy would go down the drain.

Never mind Trump doing something stupid again at any moment and seen as fighting must end on all fronts, it puts Netanyahu in a position of having to crash everything and somehow get away with it or accept his time is up.

seems like the main issue of the deal retreiving the uranium is pushed out for 60 days or so .. if this deal is even signed chances are it could all kick off again after US midterms as there is no way Iran will.give up their nuclear ambitions

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,437 ✭✭✭wildgreen

I think the real main issue was whether Israel could lock its boot on the throat of Iran and it was not able to. Indeed Israel has glorified Iran and made it the new Middle East People's Champion. There will be folk songs written if Lebanon and Palestine are included in the deal.

They absolutely shouldn't after this farce. There is no way Israel is not going to attack again - and the US will help them. They'll just make up another excuse. 'Iran is 24 hours from developing a bomb.' One thing is clear from the past year is you simply can't trust the Trump regime. They're almost as bad as Israeli's genocidal regime. The MOU won't last. The only way peace has a chance is if Iran gets nuclear capability as a deterrent.

Low resolution images show that 6 US bases were hit a few days ago and two Israeli ones on Sunday.

First of the Iranian hi-res images show a destroyed AN/TPS-59 radar at Jabal al-Dukhan Long Range Radar Site in Bahrain.

I guess it's over to Iran to see if they are willing to throw Lebanon under the bus…

It's hardly news, the Iranians just formalised what they've been doing for the last decade or so. It may not win them any friends, but it won't lose them any. The Islamists will celebrate and the Lefties will find some way to hand-wave it away and blame Israel.

Let's hope it works better than the last one, during JCPOA Iran continued with a hidden enrichment program, IIRC.
