well done Con but how many steps did he take

Dublin by far the better team but against an average enough Louth. Dublin should be far more in front, squandered some good chances and a few self inflicted wounds too.

They need to be far sharper up front.

16,160 here. Really need that 25,000 stadium to create an atmosphere.

one of the backroom staff put this out on either side of pitch before the warm up. More stats I assume. Maybe less stats and more speed

O'Sullivans kick outs are a huge problem.

Safe to say Dublin have a real goal keeping problem among others!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,442 ✭✭✭✭gormdubhgorm

Does the backline half backs not realise they can close lads down? Thought second Louth goal was bad, But the third was even worse. The defenders freeze - awful stuff.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

O'Sullivan was shocking for the 3rd but his kick outs lead to both goals.

There's better keepers in Dublin than these these 2 lads.

He had a kick out there, hands in the air signal . And just lamped it down the middle. Louth won kick out.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

    how did we lose that

was a decent display in many parts of the pitch. We took all the scores, defended well, just handed over two comical goals.

Because Dublin are an old team same as Mayo. When Westmeath ran at them they struggled and the same today.

2 games in a row where we just never got going in the 2nd half. Keeper was diabolical all game. Honestly, we just need a hard reset with a new more experienced management team after this summer and go again. This current lot haven't a clue.

poor performance, mid field and breaking ball is a big issue all year. Primary possession around the middle is huge with the new rules.
Management on the ropes id say, possibly Kerry next but being honest I’d be fearing any team now with the performances

It's tough for any midfield when your keeper is launching scud missiles randomly down the pitch. His best kickouts went over the sideline where it couldn't hurt us as much. It was one of the worst goal keeping performances I've seen in years.

You would seriously have to question what training they are doing with the GKers. We have one of the best ever coaching them but are they not being given proper instructions, is it the outfield players fault? This isn't new so how come they haven't been able to come up with some type of system to reduce the damage?

Fear I would have is we draw a real good team and we get an absolute mauling .Today was just beyond pathetic, I never thought we would be so bad.The whole set up is a shambles .

6 point half time lead thrown away.

The goals were the big difference, we had shots for goal that were all saved or charged down, meanwhile they can saunter through and roll it in at near post at least 2 times, and other 2 goals were equally soft.

Gk and defender bith static as apow ball comes in and outmuscled - defender should at least protect GK, and as for the one off the post..... we had ball, caughed it up so softly and let him roll it in..

Really poor to way we started the second half again. Didn’t learn from west Meath to take the heat out of the momentum. Asking for players to shoot at times instead of closing them down.

We need to reset again and learn how to play the new game and if it takes 2/3 years so be it. Can’t just carry on and hope.

Hopefully the person who needed emergency help in cusack will make a full recovery. Never seen so many emergency people rushing for a persons help.

I was all for giving Hugh a spot in goal but he was really poor for I would say two of the goals today ,think the kickouts would be up for debate .

This has been coming. Nothing about today’s game is surprising. Dublin getting a lead and falling apart when a team puts it up to them.

I called them mental midgets during league campaign, harsh yes, but very similar to 00s team but arguably looking in worse position.

I don’t blame the players , we won’t know how much losing Brennan has played a role either cause I think Dublin on the decline suffer from it more. Building period now, could take a few years so I wouldn’t be quick to be hammering Brennan either.

Lots of soul searching to be don’e
