Ah come on, you'd swear subbing someone to allow the fans show their appreciation was a new thing

Yep..it's going to be fun in here

Seriously though..the next couple of years could hurt

I don't know what to think about Alli leaving. I thought he would be leaving right up until today tbh. Would we really let him leave out the back door after everything he has given us. He has been the best keeper in the world for the majority of his time with us and we probably don't win the league twice or the champion's league without him.

If everyone behind the scenes knew he was leaving wouldn't they do something for him too. I know Hendo got nothing but that transfer came out of the blue after the season was over. Especially considering the shape Hendo got into that summer I don't think he thought he was leaving.

I wasn't expecting it so soon when he hadn't scored. We all know how much he wanted a last goal at Anfield. If he had scored sure but yeah I was surprised he came off when he did. It's no like Frimpong did anything when he came on, while Mo was actually in decent form today and was hungry. 🤷

Fair play to Robbo giving the shout out to Seamus Coleman on his leaving Everton, class act.

Zero league wins in 4 3 separate months this season. October, *January, March, May.

Edit: correction we got a win on Jan 31st, so 1 from 6 that month.

2 points less than West Ham in the last 10 games, same points as Spurs (12)

I sure hope FSG are "analysing" stats like these. Sticking with Slot next season and expecting anything different than what we've seen this season is the definition of madness.

Thank f*** that season is over.

Finally an end to this brutal season, a fierce disappointment, to finish 11 and 5 points behind United and villa is pathetic after out spending last summer, even if villa had lost today we still couldn't win at home that would have given Bournemouth champions league, less points than West ham for last 10 games is another grim statistic, we are going backwards quickly, couple of legends gone for next season and others like Jones and konate too dosent look good, the dressing room does not seem a happy place and I wonder will slot get the bullet, personally I think he must go but FSG seem committed to him so who knows, as I said thank f**k the season is finally over

15 from the last 10 games last season and 12 this season. We can now see where the rot was setting in.

If the new candy themed jersey is any kind of indicator, we ain't on an upward curve.

Very surprised at the comments on the jersey, I think it looks really good!

It started at last season's Carabao Final, around the time Salah stopped being the best attacker in the world.

It's been getting worse ever since.

If only you'd written that post in May 2025 we'd obviously have won the leage again this year unless of course expecting a different outcome this year would have been the definition of madness? 🤔

53 point swing between ourselves and United, we finished with twice as many points as them last season..

I saw city doing presentations for gundo and ederson yesterday, we should really have some something for Henderson, pity he decided to leave, he would have played a lot that season and would still be with us I reckon.

What a ridiculous statement - are you aware situations change? 🤣

Slot did great for the majority of 2024/25 season so last May 25 he was doing very well, however there were warning signs from Feb/March 25 but it was passed off as the team taking their foot off the gas as they'd the league won. Which could have been true at the time.

At some point you've to analyse what's happening now and for the last 15 months Liverpool have been in a downward spiral. You don't discount last season but the more relevant season to analyse is that one which has just ended.

Do you think Slot will have this team challenging for the league next season? Let's hear the arguement for believing Slot can turn this around based on what we've seen for the past 15 months? What are you basing this on? If the sole reason is because he won the league in 24/25 I'd be worried.

We've been bad in the same exact ways no matter who is on the pitch and no matter what formation we play for 15+ months now, the only change in that time is that we've gotten even worse.

"He won the league last year" is not an indicator that things will get better.

The league win earned Slot enough goodwill to play through an entire season of terrible performances and results, but with absolutely no indication that things will get any better I don't see why he should be given more time.

I think the club will keep him on, but I also think we will regret it.

I hope I'm wrong but I wouldn't be making big club decisions based on hope.

The first sentence of your post confirms we are absolutely in agreement. One seasons performance does not mean the following season will need the same. That's why @jones post world have been equally without merit if he'd written it 12 months ago.

"Sticking with Slot next season and expecting anything different than what we've seen this season is the definition of madness."

This year's poor season is just as unlikely to be repeated next season as the PL winning season was to be repeated this year.

    Things change.

Question is whether Slot is the man to effect positive change.

    Time will tell!!

We're close to bringing in Slots former assistant Etienne Reijnen, according to the Bbc. That should put an end to any and all speculation.

Just clearing the head after drinking to forget I went to the match yesterday

Never mind the game, obviously it was crap but it was exactly as expected

But the atmosphere was pure sh-te. The final day is normally just a bit of fun, go through the greatest hits of ex players songs, none of that yesterday, was only the Brentford fans making noise half the time. The fans are broken.

Then the "presentation" after the match for Mo and Robbo was so half-arsed, just nothing to it at all. After all they've given us, they just walk them out and let the fans sing. No speeches, nothing. It's the angriest I've been with the club since H&G left. They deserved so much more, at the very least the deserved something. I'm still raging

In the context of him staying, surely this is a big positive. Slot has been waiting 2 years for him to join, they obviously have a good working relationship. That kind of unity on the coaching side is essential. Also, from the limited information on him, his strengths appear to be on tactical analysis and set pieces. Is he the person to complement Slot's vision (whatever that is) and make it work?

I don't understand your logic @54and56? Change doesn't happen just for change sake, there is a cost to having as bad season as we have just had with no green shoots to hang your hat on (apart from Rio) - how many managers come back from that sort of season and go on to improve? If anything Slots first season win should have buoyed the team massively coming into the 25/26 season but apart from the first 5 wins the season was a write off - external factors played a part too.

"This year's poor season is just as unlikely to be repeated next season as the PL winning season was to be repeated this year." Again what are you basing this on? All trending data would suggest it's going to get worse not better next season. We haven't been unlucky, its been the exact opposite we've been incredibly lucky to get Europe on 60 points. Klopp often had blips but there was positives to take from the season in one shape or another. Slot doesn't seem to know what he's doing right now and looks out of his depth. Do you want Slot to stay? You seem to be arguing for that anyway.

It looks like FSG are going to stick with Slot and i think its a massive mistake but lets see, i'll be very happily provided wrong if we're competing for the league next season. If they stick with Slot my money is on him being relieved of his duties in October/November 26.

We're a month on from Konate himself saying he was "close" to signing a new contract and we've heard nothing since, so I'm not putting much stock in "close" reports these days.

There wasn't any waving type gestures from him, or Allison, yesterday. Which would lead me to think that both are staying.
