US DOJ has charged James Comey again, this time over his posting a photo of sea shells in the shape of the number "86". 86 in New York is slang for getting rid of something. In this WHs paranoid mind, that's a death threat or something.

It seems the Kimmel joke was two days before the shooting. FCC now reviewing ABCs license after Trump called for Kimmel to be fired.

As the Brits might say, King Charles delivered a splendid speech to US congress.

King Charles references: 1215 Magna Carta’s "foundation of the principle that executive power is subject to checks and balances" - “shared security” / global cooperation and linking to defence of Ukraine - said NATO, for the first time, invoked Article 5 after 9/11 - UNSC was “united in the face of terror - AUKUS trilateral security partnership - the rule of law - an independent judiciary .... When concluding, Charles encapsulated President Abraham Lincoln’s reflection from 1863 magisterial Gettysburg address: “The world may little note what we say, but will never forget what we do.”
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gettysburg_Address

“Read the full transcript of King Charles III’s speech to U.S. Congress “ [video of historic address is embedded here; and below quote is verbatim]
    https://globalnews.ca/news/11820870/king-charles-us-congress-speech-transcript/

"The Founding Fathers were bold and imaginative rebels with a cause. Two-hundred-and-fifty years ago — or, as we say in the United Kingdom, just the other day — they declared independence by balancing contending forces and drawing strength in diversity. They united 13 disparate colonies to forge a nation on the revolutionary idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

"They carried with them and carried forward the great inheritance of the British Enlightenment, as well as the ideals which had an even deeper history in English common law and Magna Carta. These roots run deep, and they are still vital.

"Our Declaration of Rights of 1689 was not only the foundation of our constitutional monarchy, but also provided the source of so many of the principles reiterated, often verbatim, in the American Bill of Rights of 1791.

"And those roots go even further back in history. The U.S. Supreme Court Historical Society has calculated that MAGNA CARTA is cited in at least 160 Supreme Court cases since 1789, not least as the foundation of the principle that executive power is subject to checks and balances.

"This is the reason why there stands a stone by the River Thames at Runnymede, where Magna Carta was signed in the year 1215. This stone records that an acre of that ancient and historic site was given to the United States of America by the people of the United Kingdom to symbolize our shared resolve in support of liberty and in memory of President John F. Kennedy.

Starry: ^ Someone should tell Trump that there are 50 irregular hand-cut granite steps (Scroll to: 3:20 / 5:42) up to President John F Kennedy’s memorial at Runnymede - representing 50 American states. NOT 51 steps (Trump had a plan to annex Canada and make it the 51st state).

    “The Kennedy Memorial at Runnymede”

Colbert’s impersonation of Trump’s voice and mannerisms had me in stitches. It was political satire at its best.

“Stephen Colbert Gets Ready to Hang It Up”
“His late-night show ends next month after 11 seasons. He has lots of feelings.”
By John Koblin, April 28, 2026
    https://www.nytimes.com/2026/04/28/business/media/stephen-colbert-late-night-show.html?unlocked_article_code=1.eVA.-jdc.PpyfsUbqA5Nz&smid=url-share

Given that you and other late-night hosts have become political targets, and given how partisan late night has become, do you have any regrets that it’s gotten to this point?

I don’t have any problem with Trump being a Republican. I have a problem with Trump being a complete narcissist who is only working for his own interest and does not appear to care if the entire world burns. That’s not a partisan position. I have eyeballs and ears, and I think calling late night partisan is just roughing the ref. And we don’t even want to be refs, but they perceive us as refs. I reject the partisan description. Partisan means you’re never, ever going to make a joke about a Democrat, and that’s just not true. There’s just no comparison of how fertile the fields are.

Getting offended by a comedian is ridiculous.

The MAGA's have always been ultra sensitive to criticism of their icons. "Snowflake" I believe is the term they like.

Can some journalist out there do their job and ask him why he's so upset at Kimmel after he publicly celebrated the death of Robert Mueller? Somebody? Anybody?

Notoriously the '**** your feelings' crowd are in fact very upset about their own feelings.

The supposed corruption they're investigating is based on a YouTuber who tried to gain access to creches under false pretenses and claimed they were all guilty of large scale fraud cause he wasn't allowed in. The credibility of the accusations are incredibly low. So given the fact DOGE has previously claimed to expose corruption, the parallel is pretty evident.

So Celt as per usual, you have odd priorities. The fact you went the route of pointing to Trump abusing the Justice Department only serves to push the point further home tbh.

A bit like Iran and the Ayatollah, such is the profound contempt for him that anyone making a case against him is good. Or goodish anyway. And I think you will find its a sentiment that goes way beyond Boards.

Trump’s upset re Kimmel ‘hinting ‘ at his demise only involves ONE person ie Trump himself.

BUT, BUT, BUT Trump’s comment on the demise of Robert Mueller could be deemed to the hinting at the possible ‘demise’ of all those judges- and equivalents- that made decisions that are. ‘ VERY BAD ‘ for people.
    So there

He'd probably just rant about the Russia Hoax, how Mueller was after him etc. That's just inviting Trump to rant about past greivances in a way his followers would still lap up.

I'd say ask him about his comments after the murder of Rob Reiner and his wife, because that was based on nothing other than Trump being a whiny little b*tch baby and even a lot of his own supporters struggled to justify that one given the horrific circumstances involved and the lack of any sort of connection or past history between Trump and Reiner. I think that one, more so than his comments about Mueller, speak to what sort of a man Trump is.

    What would be the point?

He's upset because he's a toxic narcissist. He cannot take any criticism whatsoever. It's why he's stacked his Cabinet with servile imbeciles whose only selling point is their loyalty to him. They won't outshine him or step out of line in any way.

Looks like they're going with his mother's Scottish connection…but frankly if you go back far enough in time everyone is nearly related to everyone else.

Hell, by virtue of my English grandmother I might be 1230345th in line for the Throne or some such BS. Only narcissist bell-ends would run with the "I'm related to Royalty" nonsense…and sure enought here we are with the biggest one.

Daily Mail should have known better…but not really expecting much from tabloid rags like that.

Exactly, if you go back far enough in history, literally everyone is related to everyone.

They go back what, 16 generations there? I'm sure you could fit the rest of us in Ireland in there at some point too.

He's possibly a 15th cousin, which is the same as probably 3 to 5 million other people, including pretty much everyone in Scotland

    They'd share 0.000003% of DNA

Only Americans do this kind of thing, just very very weird.

Its a joke, he is just trolling. He wants attention and this gets people talking about him.

What is the price of oil today? How is he saying he will end the war? Where are the Epstein files? What are the job number expectations? Have they started paying back the illegal tariffs?

Thankfully i dont know any irish person in real life that would be fawning over anything the royal family say.

Im sure after the speech charlie gave, written by other people he and the don were all smiles and probably shared a 12yo... glass of scotch.

" if you go back far enough in history, literally everyone is related to everyone."

Well, the majority of MAGA folk I've seen are related to their spouses.....

Bravo Charles: It was a great speech. Historical.

As noted, it could be looked on as a stern rebuke and telling off: check yourselves before you wreck yourselves.

Especially powerful were the reminders on 'checks and balances', and the importance of Congress, which they seem to have forgotten.

Pity that Leo's Flock as part of the US populace couldn't treat his spiel more seriously.
