Trump needed to win the first of the night when he had the chance.

    It's goodnight now at 3-8.

Zhao goes 8-3 up. Trump handed it to him with a terrible safety shot when he had the advantage, clipping the yellow with the red and leaving it into the yellow ball pocket. This is probably over.

I am not all that mad on the long red in the middle of the table they picked for Shot of the Championship.

It was a very good shot, but it is fairly full ball and Zhao was 5-0 up.

I'd have had Trump's slow green to seal the match against Robertson.

WST live over Nord VPN has served me well all season. I signed up this time last year.

You get the live commentary from whoever is the UK broadcaster (e.g. TNT, ITV or C5), but you won't get any studio content, analysis etc. Has playback but only after a match has ended (usually an hour or so after the end of the match). I watch it on phone, am sure you could cast it or maybe play on a smart TV.

At £7, it's worth signing up for a month as it will cover all the tables during qualification but also the full tournament proper up to the final. I have NordVPN via Revolut (included as part of my Revolut plan).

Yes, I've travelled elsewhere and paid 20 Stg for annual pass. Home of the Football World Champions.

Gives discounts on tickets in the UK too and the archive.

Hope they don't cross check it to my ticketing address when I go to the Crucible, expecting some old gaucho to be in attendance. An old gouger maybe.

Good win for Leone Crowley 10-5.

Jimmy had his chances there, but the Whirlwind goes down 9-10.

Leone Crowley's match pulled off at 9-5. To come back later he will need one more frame for another good win.

The points would move him up the rankings and two matches away from the Crucible.

Rob Milkins looks like he has lost his tour card, he was in the top 16 about 3 years ago.

And Mark Davis is playing his last match. Meaning that tommorow for the first time since Joe Davis invented the professional game 100 years ago, there will be nobody with the surname Davis on the tour.

    Crowley wins 10-5.

To play Dave Gilbert next. Winner would probably expect to play Aaron Hill on judgement day.

Nice to see Crowley getting a few wins, will surely boost his confidence for the 2nd season next year.

The draw worked out kindly for Aaron. I think he was due to play Stephen Maguire or Gary Wilson before Un-Nooh went on his World Open run. Gilbert's form hasn't been as good as the others around him in the rankings.

Re-match from the same stage last year if they both win. Gilbert won 10-9 after being 7-3, 8-5 and 9-7 behind.

Time to start the World Championships thread? Or is tradition to wait until the qualifiers are over?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,119 ✭✭✭Arthur Daley

Jordan Brown wins 10-9 on the black.

Not certain that this guarantees him his tour card, but he would have been in trouble if he lost this.

20 year old amateur Oliver Sykes made a 146 today in his win. That's the sort of standard your dealing with now.

Edit - no only last qualifying round “judgement day” shown on YouTube.

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

I had a look at the odds for the world championship -

    . Zhao Xintong: 2/1

    • Judd Trump: 9/2

    • Ronnie O'Sullivan: 5/1

    • Mark Selby: 7/1

    • Kyren Wilson: 11/1

    • Shaun Murphy: 12/1

    • Wu Yize: 12/1

    • John Higgins: 16/1

    • Neil Robertson: 16/1

    • Mark Allen: 22/1

    • Mark Williams: 28/1

9 former winners in that 11 - normally I would have an idea of maybe the winner and an outside pick. But it’s so open now and the standard is so high I don’t have a clue!

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

10-3 victories for both Gilbert and Hill, after being 6-3 up after the first session.

2 centuries from Hill - 133 and 137 - in the 2nd session. 4 from Gilbert in the match, with 8 50+ on top of that (!). Some going in 13 frames.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,119 ✭✭✭Arthur Daley

They play Tuesday 11am and 5pm

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,314 ✭✭✭corcaigh07

Only caught the end of it but Liam Pullen beat Un-Nooh 10-7. Big scalp for him but further shows how deep the field is at the top now, Un-Nooh a recent ranking event winner. 147 at that event and beat Ronnie in the process.

Good win for Brecel vs Bingyu, shame they were drawn together, both good enough for the Crucible.

Judgement Day is today (and tomorrow). Free multi table coverage on WST Play (no sub needed) or You Tube.

Aaron Hill vs Dave Gilbert starts at 11am, with Hill playing for his first appearance at the Crucible. it's a rematch of the exact same Judgement Day clash last year when Gilbert pipped Hill in the deciding frame for the Crucible.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,119 ✭✭✭Arthur Daley

Bingyu hit a maximum and so he gets £147,000. As he had already made a 147 in the UK Championship. Two 147s in triple crown events.
