I do like the suggestion by the host that the protester should just go through the proper channels. And defintely hasnt resulted in the govt. doing a deal with reps that will 100% sell out their membership. Just ask the IFA

By the standards of modern day LL - extremely low - it was an absolute cracker, but it's not essential listening. Aine & Majella were the two best contributors, but we didn't get a real heavyweight slug out between them, just a skirmish of a few minutes.

Govt has just sent a contract for another €200k worth of Govt sponsored adverts and a case of wine for John Cooke, down to Montrosia with a hand-written note - 'Thanks guys, great job'

Shane Coleman on VM at the moment trying to get a case of wine too

All of the current affairs presenters are showing their contempt for the blockade protesters. Very one sided commentary.

Yet when the French protest, the same current affairs presenters bring us the news of this and the commentary is always "aren't the French great for getting off their ar$es and doing something".

But when it stops Matt Coopers wife from getting her flight to the south of France, or Claire Byrnes kids being late for their Easter cookery camp or David McCullagh from making his afternoon four ball then its a different story.

We have very little truly independent media here. The most stark illustration was back in 2010 when the IMF showed up here all of a sudden one weekend. Every local media outlet towed the government line to a man denying anything was going on. “Move along! Nothing to see here!” I found myself in the bizarre position of having to turn to UK media to actually find out what was happening in my own country. I haven’t trusted any of them since

Them 20,000 chickens need 3 tons of grub a day. The delivery lad must have run out of diesel outside Supermacs on O'Connell Street.

Green Wan on now, expecting everyone to drop the guts of 100k to upgrade their homes to not use home heating oil. Missis, I would love to have a warm eco friendly home with low heating costs...

The modern army does perform 'Un-Soldierly Duties' anymore. It is not like the 70s when I can remember them empting our bins into the back of their lorry.

There is a 91 year old woman walking from Shannon to Dáil in protest over Trump airplanes use of Shannon. How is this not on the show? #researcher #WeWillCallYou

"The straw that broke the camels back" sez John. Hitting the nail on de head.

If this protest goes on tomorrow travel will not only be affected by the roadblocks but we are also going to see people not being able to get to work because they have no petrol/diesel. They will literally bring the country to a halt in more ways then they think. These lads are very quickly losing support from the public.
