He doesn't have the cult following, but the handover has to happen sometime.

Communicarions from a warzone a warzone are easily restricted.
Not for long of course but enough to delay release and control a news cycle.
The main mode I'd assume is as simple as delaying any notification to the families and claiming troops are on ops as a way of controlling and delaying Comms.

C17 flights through Rammstein for casualty evac have increased but numbers still haven't updated in weeks apart from the 12 wounded in the Prince Sultan Airbase attack on the 27th March.
There have been at least 18 medevac flights to Rammstein.

The damage inflicted across American bases since the 28th Feb is finally becoming visible on Satellite outlets and it is extensive.
To the point that the widespread reporting is that 13 of 17 bases are uninhabitable.
Controlling the reporting of casualty numbers in the event that they are greater than the official reporting?
Is vital to prevent Trump & Co losing control of the narrative and the already faltering support for their war.
Much like the initial reports of the PSAB attack on the 27th, the denial of the strike, then a damaged E3-G and then 2 damaged EC130 along with damaged & destroyed KC135s,the news is trickling out and US reporting between Centcom & Pentagon has even been contradictory.
The loss of the E3 wasn't confirmed until Saudi Arabia released photos after a reported tiff between Trump & MBS.

The Airbase in Jordan has reportedly been hit this evening with reports of damage to multiple aircraft aswell as another AN/TPY2 radar.

Control of the narrative and in particular ensuring America has low casualties is imperative for Trump in this war.
His own intel agencies are on the record saying Iran wasn't pursuing a bomb and even if they were?
Both he and Nethanyahu claimed the June war destroyed Iran's nuclear ambition so the entire premise for this attack and it's shifting goals?
Are already completely undermined by both himself and Grabbard.

No. However, there can be alleged training exercise [faulty weapons/munitions] casualties, plane [multiple casualty] crashes, all reportedly in non-theatre locations where location at time of death is verifiable only through DOD reports, which can be blamed later as faulty initial reporting when the truth leaks out. Think of the ICE shootings in Minneapolis and the stataments by [now former] DHS senior people.

Panelist on sky just called trump an

"Idiot orange oompah loompa" or something to that effect

Host, apologised immediately on her behalf, I was delighted I know the host had to cover it off but I'd like to see the dam break snd people start calling the gobshite what he is in no uncertain terms...instead of the constant deference

I assume that a closed-office chat with mention of pension rights etcetera would be Hegseths line of approach i trying to get the Army COS to leave the stage quietly without a personal public statement. It'd be nice if the general had enough integrity and told Hegseth to stuff it.

In fairness.....if that is a possibility..you may have a family dependant on it never mind yourself

And Hegseth is such a tool, it seems likely he will be the maker of his own downfall anyway

Lol I presume that's The Wrap? I often watch it, but not tonight, maybe later, as it's repeated. I hope they don't edit it out. Trumpa Lumpa…

I've put it on now, it's still going. I'm guessing it's the woman on the left, she's fairly straight to the point.

Yep...red hair, she had a slightly more restrained go at him at least once afterwards

I hope it's not a case of she's not invited back...the more start openly calling the vainglorious fool what he is in plain terms the better....

The Daily Mail of all places have also started to comment on this, there's a good reporting of things like satellite imagery as you mentioned showing that Iran has managed to inflict damage in return.

Each tweet just hammers home the reasons, for which there are many, as to why he went bankrupt 6 times.

He simply does not understand how it works for other people, just for him…and that is even a stretch.

    Trump on a daily basis.

    1775177958445730921979412731496.jpg

His list of enemies must read like sitting through 10 minutes of credits at the end of a movie at this point. He's one to talk about looks.

If I could redact it, this rant would be edited down to:

"Bad, horrible and incurable Trump is a total loser who spews hate against the World.

    MAGA SUCK HARD!!!

    President DJT"

Given that the other two generals apparently removed with George are the heads of T2COM and the Chaplain's Corps, neither of which have anything much to do with combat ops, I am unconvinced that this has much to do with Iran.

There are a number of reported reasons going around, varying from general officer promotions lists to actions regarding COVID dismissals. It's worth noting that in the last week Hegseth has made announcements regarding the operation of the Chaplains' Corps and firearms on Army bases, both of which are in the respective wheelhouses of the two of them.

I've lost track, what is the current situation with the Epstein files?

Tbh, apart from the fact that he has a war going on that he has made a huge mess of, and that he seems to be irrifutably mad - I would not even say senile, it feels more structured than that - I feel I have completely lost track of the whole Trump thing, its beyond dealing with. Presumably all this firing is to distract from the war, and the responsibility for it? I don't think senility would allow for that degree of deliberation.

Its also very annoying that the UK - or Starmer anyway - seems to be persisting in sitting on his side of the fence. I realise that the US is bigger than Trump and there is a future to consider, but any degree of going along with his nonsense doesn't seem advisable at the moment.

anyone doing a PhD in ‘STONEWALLING’ should have a look at this interview. It would help them to ‘ fast track,’ as to what exactly stonewalling is all about

Has there been any leak as to whom it was who fired the Army COS; Trump or Hegseth? Seeing as the announcement was that the "retirement" was with immediate effect, no lead in to ensure the newcomer got a briefing on ongoing Ops, has Trump handed over total control of firings within his administration to his Dept secretaries?

Is the firing due to a suddenly visible degree of incompetence or dereliction of duty or is it due to the COS telling retired Nat Gd Major Hegseth that he was not going to obey any more stupid orders from an incompetent civilian or, even worse; is it another step in Project 25 mind control of all parts of the Govt?

Was the firing of Pam Bondi a distraction to lessen the visibility of the COS firing, seeing as how the rumour mill has him supposedly asking other members of his cabinet if he should fire her? It's a bit unusual to have the senior officer in the Military Chaplaincy [my words] also fired at the same time, around Easter-Time on the Christian events calendar when Pope Leo is having difference of opinion with Trump on how to address other persons.

Is it likely that Congress committees would ask the former COS to make himself available to members in Congress to inform them of what he knows about his sudden departure from the national defence scene?

Edit: I could see why there might be a need for heads to roll where it comes to military fire-arms [control of same] with the arrest of a junior other ranks member in connection with the larceny and illegal sale of Javelin missiles and several thousand rounds of live ammo in the U.S to members of the public in the U.S. One carries the can for whatever any member/s of one's unit [or area of responsibility] whether one did or did not know of the mebers actions. R.H.I.P can be a bummer.

How can the US keep the real figure under raps for very long when the following , I assume , is the case:-

    (1) All marines /soldiers were trained in groups

    (2) and as a result they would be all part of various social groupings - they become friends, acquaintances, partners, etc, etc, etc.

    (3) they all have access to mobiles

    (4) Army ‘training/dicipline’ , natural inclination would mean that they would ‘look out’ for eachother

So because of the above would information on the death of any marine /soldier be passed on to the relatives of the bereaved within days. Or if any of them were suspicious of the ‘transfer’ of any soldier to another area that relatives would be encouraged by a friend to ‘make enquiries’

Chief Justice Roberts (second after Justice Clarence Thomas) asks ACLU attorney about birthright citizenship.

Justice Gorsuch vs Mississippi Solicitor General who is defending the mail-in ballot law that requires Mississippi to count late-arriving postal ballots.

We have a situation where Republicans are suing a Republican controlled state to try to stop them being counted.

Also Justice Sonia Sotomayor (Obama appointee vs US Solicitor General John Sauer. Points to the differences between receipt and acceptance of a vote. Says the Congress decided in 1888 that a dually receoved vote, wrongly denied, will be counted even if not "accepted.

I think it will be interesting to see how they react to the story from Iran today that they shot down a US fighter jet (an F-15 is what the debris shows though they claim F-35)

Iran claims it's the second time they have shot one down, the first one from 19th March was reported by the US as an emergency landing (F-35 that time) during a combat mission over Iran and that it wasn't shot, although there are reports of the pilot having shrapnel wounds.

Today Iran is saying the pilot very likely didn't survive but it's silence so far from the US side

I'm not suggesting that I believe Iran's accounts of both incidents, but it does seem interesting that the US keeps losing aircraft - 3 friendly fire over Kuwait, refueller crash killing 6 crew in Iraq, the emergency landing during a combat mission without being shot, and now potentially this one - all without any enemy interference.

If Iran did shoot this one down, I'm interested to understand the US assessment of how given they have claimed full air dominance and 100% elimination of military capabilities.

If Iran didn't shoot this one down, either there was no plane or incident at all, or the US will presumably explain how another one has been lost by accident.

Its not surprising given the number of Russian-linked people in this administration that it would probably leak like a sieve to the the FSB who would then pass on the targets to Iran.
