Irish daily news podcast?

    Is there an Irish podcast covering the main news at home and abroad that reliably releases single episodes daily, or even every weekday?

    I have found the RTE or Newstalk player apps and radio websites unreliable, late, malfunctioning, or they release every item as a separate episode.

    The Indo and In the News from the Irish Times seem to cover a single different story each day which is not what I want.

    Thanks. I could not find 'The Journal Podcast' on Pocketcasts Android but when I search the web it looks like 'The Explainer' might be the one you mean? https://podcasts.apple.com/ie/channel/the-journal/id6445569858

    I have been experimenting with 'Early Edition' and 'In the News' from the Irish Times, and the 'Mick Clifford Podcast'. Longer than and less frequent than a news roundup but 'Path to Power' with Matt Cooper covers politics and current affairs, and even more niche 'Inside Politics' from the IT.

    Keep them coming.

    It sounds like what you’re really after is one consolidated daily news episode rather than multiple short clips—makes total sense if you just want to catch up quickly. A few people I know use Spotify to follow daily news shows because it keeps everything organized in one place and updates reliably. Some international news podcasts also do a nice job of covering Irish affairs alongside global events.

    Don't keep us in suspense 🙂 Can you name the podcasts you refer to that are primarily focused on Irish news? Irish podcasts that cover local and global news are desired but personally I have enough international news podcasts that cover any major stories here already.

    There are websites that convert Spotify and iTunes podcasts into URLs any podcast app can use.
