Yikes end of the month already, sitting here having a Nespresso, sun on my back and its rather pleasant. I worked for 5 days this month so basically it was exceptionally quiet and relaxing time at home.

Staring at phone or ceiling trying to manifest motivation - results are poor so far

Waiting to have a regular meeting with my mental health keyworker.

Much milder out there today. No lectures this week or next to give, but plenty of other work to get done.

Just swayed back home over here, moderate seas on the way to and from Tesco. Unusually shaky on my legs today, probably because of the lack of sleep last night. Either way, stocked up on milk & pastries, ready for a relaxed evening.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

It'll be tay and toast this evening for me, leftover takeaway was a substantial lunch.

So true. It's every year. I start worrying about 3 months beforehand. 🙄 But the relief is wonderful afterwards. And it's such a beautiful sunny Spring day. It's that finished the leaving cert feeling.

That looks like a lovely breakfast :):)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 18,349 ✭✭✭✭cj maxx

I hope its not for cholesterol , but nothing like a fry for breakfast 😁

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,146 ✭✭✭✭SuperBowserWorld

Not for cholesterol today. That's another thing I need to look after !

I rarely have a fry, so it's lovely to have it the odd time.

There's a particular joy in the rare treat. Back in my chef days id be tasting stuff all day so would crave bog standard porridge or sandwiches or scrambled eggs etc. Chips and coleslaw was a big one.

    Too true.

Had marmalade, butter, toast recently after an age. Blew my mind.

I always make a little happy dance when I can get one of Lidl’s multiseed breads when it’s still warm. It’s often still fresh when I get home and honestly, a slice of that with some butter (unsalted for me) is a little slice of home/heaven 🫠

Speaking of home, just got back home here from doing my midweek café treat & top-up shop. All squared away now, and have the NASA live stream up on my TV for the Artemis II launch later tonight 🚀 I was born far too late to witness any of the Apollo missions, so this will be the first crewed lunar mission in my lifetime.

Plus, my name is on that spacecraft, so I have a personal stake in it 😁

/slides plate 😋 That looks delicious! And congrats on the good news!

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Chilling sofaside, waiting for my guilty televisual pleasure, Eastenders, to come on. 📺 😁

Looking out at our patio doors which are framing the wonderful stretch of this April evening. ☀️🌈

Also did some more art yesterday. 🎨🖼

    Amazing work as always, JK!

On the couch here, watching the NASA livestream for the Artemis 2 launch.

SLS is fully fuelled, crew is aboard the Orion spacecraft, hatches are sealed. Launch window opens in twenty minutes 😃🤓

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Just remembering the spaceship I can't spell is taking off tonight . So stuck to phone / tv until it flies around moon.

This page might help you with that: https://www.nasa.gov/missions/artemis/artemis-2/track-nasas-artemis-ii-mission-in-real-time/

For some reason, I don't have any way to control the ARROW web app over here, but the NASA app might give you some more options.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

@thomil What a perfect advertisement for SPACEX :):):) But somehow I fail to see how a newly launched company can be worth 2 trillion.

First Nespresso of the day, will wake the OH for our morning walk, then off to do a drug alcohol test.

Gone are the days when we had to pee in a cup with someone watching you :)

Ugh, sounds nasty @cj maxx 😫Hope you got some rest anyhow.

@smurfjed Artemis 2 has nothing to do with SpaceX. It's basically using leftover parts from the Space Shuttle program. The external solid rocket boosters are all pre-flown, and the main stage is built from the old external tank that the shuttles used to ride on, although it was newly manufactured. The RS-25 rocket engines on the main stage are former Space Shuttle main engines, either spares or taken from the surviving shuttles.

In the waiting room at the neurology department, waiting to see my consultant neurologist and figure out what the next steps are...

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

@thomil good luck with the appointment.

Completely different but maybe the Artemis2 will excite peoples attitudes towards space travel. I would love to see the stock price for Virgin Galactic increase :):)
