Love when you have too many options. Stuck between a Samsung, TCL or Philips. TV for the home office, some cloud gaming, Youtube mainly, firestick connected to the old one currently so handy to have an all in one if possible. Currently looking at the following and edging towards the TCL (would love if it had the Freely TV but do not think this model does). The panel on the TCL seems to get good reviews. Will be sitting sometimes about 3ft away from it, usually about 5-6feet.

    Samsung u8000
    Philips s7800
    TCL P7K

Thanks in advance for any input, suggestions or alternatives.

Edit: Is this available for delivery to ROI? - Philips s8500

    Thanks for the post gillamandango.

All great TVs you've chosen (we're actually sold out of the 43PUS8500 at the moment and are waiting for an ETA for a new batch) but out of the three I would actually go for the TCL. They're amazing TVs, great value for money and loaded with spec for a great price. The P7K is a QLED panel and has a Google TV operating system so a better smart hub than both the Samsung and the Philips. It doesn't have Freely though, just Freeview:

The Philips 7800 would be my second choice but you really can't go wrong with the TCLs a the moment!

Please don't hesitate to drop me a post if you'd like to go ahead with one.

    Kind regards

    David

All received perfectly and only a few days from dispatch to delivery. It might be a SW Bug, but every time the TV is put into standby and subsequently turned back there never is any sound. The only solution is to restart the TV which does point to poor Software. Not enough of a problem for me to send it back but it is a frustrating glitch.

    Hi Gillamandango.

    Hmmm….

    That is a bit frustrating.

Have you check that the TV has the latest software update completed on it?
