Crazy having a Kerry man referee Cork in a final. Saying that Cork ran down their own clock with the messing looking for a 2 point effort.

Can anyone explain why Cork didnt get the ball advanced 50m on the last free? First Meath man fouled and 2nd petformed a hand trip to delay a quick free. Isnt that the kind of cynical play the rule was invented for?

From the highlights on League Sunday it looks like Cork should have won.

Chris Og Jones butchered two goal chances.

We have the forwards to do the damage against any team, but kickouts and winning the ball at midfield seems to be an issue. It would be brilliant to win either win a Munster title, or get as far as the last four or even do both of those things if possible. We haven't won a provisional title nor got as far as the semi final stage since 2012 after all.

Now i'm not going to blame it all on the referee. Meath were the better team on the day and fair play to them, but Kerry men really should not be refereeing games that involve Cork playing in them especially when it's a national final in particular!

As for the hurling Cork and Limerick are probably the two biggest fanbases in hurling and the league final really should've been a standalone fixture, instead of having the 1B final between Clare and Dublin as the curtain raiser. Like ourselves in the football Dublin in hurling draw much smaller crowds than what they get in the football.

Lots of hype about the Cork game being played as a stand alone. The reality is it's unlikely to sell out even as a double header

Because last years barely sold out with a huge Cork contingent. Quite a few will be saving money for the championship. If it was goingcto sell out why is there still tickets on ticketmaster. Easter Sunday is also a day that people are doing all sorts

it's a week away. Don't be surprised when the ball is thrown in that it will be full.

slow start again like last week but a good finish to the half, 2-11 to 0-11. Barry Walsh buried a 20m free for our 2nd goal

Team for Sunday! Harnedy, Buckley and Mullins start in stead of Barry Walsh, Hugh O Connor and Coleman.

All Glen half back line. Good to see changes and likely to see a few orher ones for Munster. Strong 15 and more than capable of putting it up to Limerick.

Cork can't win as regards today's game really. If they win it the reaction will be "The Cork boys have the All-Ireland won in April again". If they lose; "The Cork boys have bottled it in a final again".

Is there anywhere to watch the game with English commentary, does my head in listening to that guy on TG4.

This isn’t a good start from cork.

Can't win a puckout and full back line under pressure with such supply in.

Referee is a joke, letting Limerick away with their dirty play.

Disgraceful the way ref did nothing when they broke downey's hurl

Haunted to only be down only 3 points at HT. Nowhere near the intensity Limerick were bringing for most of the half. Getting cleaned out in the middle third. Games still there if we wake up.

Goal down with the breeze to come. Took an age to get into it but have shown some real battling in the last 10 minutes.

A fairly poor second half. Half forward line were anonynous, Connolly too. They will need to sort that out for two weeks time.

we were awful. Lots to work on, really poor performance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 17,419 ✭✭✭✭MisterAnarchy

    Poor game, same old failings.

The scrappier and dirtier the game is the more it suits Limerick and the ref allowed them away with alot.

Big improvement required if Cork are to get out of Munster.

Tipp didn't look much like AI champions when we beat them in the league final last year. Tipp wanted to win that final for sure though, just like Cork wanted to win today. Cork just have to get their head right for two weeks time now.
