Just got mine, Im in the 220's , doubtful I'll be called for interview.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56 ✭✭RCL173

I placed around the 180’s as well. I wonder how many are called as part of group 1?
Would love to know what determined the OOM

Im in the late 2's. Im hoping theres a chance maybe i'm high up enough in my chosen location. I wonder does it work like that?

Me too, I didn’t make it to the next stage. I can’t wrap my head around how poor of a mark they gave me for Part 2. I put a lot of time into the application and I have a lot of experience as an internal auditor and senior management roles.

Got mine im placed 180s . Not sure what group that puts me in though. Maybe 2nd group 🤔 im surprised that they are going back to in person interviews. I wonder is this to trim down numbers , board maybe thinking if interview is in person it more people may drop out

don’t focus too much on the numbers, they call you to interview in batches, focus on the interview stage because your OOM will change according to how your interview goes. I’m in a similar position to you . Also I think that number reflects nationwide as opposed to your chosen county in some instances depending on how they have selected because if it’s similar to the EO that’s how it’s done.

    Hi All,

Got my results there – I’m placed 57th on the panel. Not really sure what group that puts me in or if that’s considered a good or bad result. I put Cork down as my first preference. Anyone know what my chances are of actually getting called?”

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 berri990

you’ve a good chance they’ll interview a couple 100 at a time probably batches of 50 so focus on your interview because it all could change depending on the interview, you get a different OOM. That’s my experience anyway from previous competitions. I’m glad it’s in person interviews because I find it hard to relate remotely.

Yeah I'm the same. Two very low scores in part two. Surprised in one way as like yourself I thought it was a decent application but in another way I thought that as per the leaflet that my compliance and legal background would hold more weight. Purely on taxation issues my experience is light enough.

Where are ye seeing the breakdown of scores? Is it within the email? Or a separate attachment?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,536 ✭✭✭✭TitianGerm

Did they ever say how many positions there actually are? I'd imagine Limerick and Dublin will have the majority?

Are people reading the email that interviews are starting the week of the 7th April or that they will call group 1 that week?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3 berri990

I think people who didn’t make the shortlisting got a breakdown of their results. It said in the email if you were shortlisted that you wouldn’t receive feedback if you are still an active applicant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 47 O36306

@RCL173 I'm reading it as interviews will start next week, and that's why interview prep was mentioned too. It's a bit vague though so I can see how it can be interpreted both ways!

Its not a lot of notice for anyone who is called for interview, especially over Easter, annual leave, school holidays etc.

I'm in the 220's so I'd say it will be a while before/if I hear anything.

Does anyone have an info if this interview follows same style of the examples/competencies from what the interviews used to be?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7 10matty

I presume they go through what experience you have and discuss it- this is my first time applying for a job with Revenue

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 56 ✭✭RCL173

Has anyone been called as part of group 1 yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11 kelly4321

    hi @kelly4321

If you don’t mind what was your classification no (I’m classed 50), not sure what group that puts me in

    thanks

Top 30. Hard luck to anyone who doesn’t get an interview. This is my fourth time applying for a panel in Revenue so hopefully persistence will pay off!

    Thanks! Best of luck!

were you called for interviews before?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11 kelly4321

I interviewed for the recent AP panel but didn’t get called for interview the two times prior to that I applied. I’m low down enough on the AP panel that I don’t expect to be offered a role before it expires next March.

if you’re kind enough maybe share with us what the style of interview is, hard to get information on it , best of luck once again!

the AP interview was very much focused on the work experience and answers to the questions I had given on the form, rather than generic interview questions. I would know your application form inside out. That being said, no idea if this will be the same style of interview. I don’t want to steer anyone wrong!
